Hello. I tried as you suggested and then set the graphics to max, but the game crashed in two minutes after doing this. There was apparently no difference even with a new settings file made.

Once I set the graphics back to the settings I had before (much lower graphics options) then it stabilized. Thank you for trying anyway.

Well, it's still not any more stable than the previous version, even with the "low res" part of the mod enabled. I still have to lower the graphics down a bit or it will start crashing within about 15-20 minutes. If I do a 1vs1 match, I seem to be able to sometimes complete a match before it crashes but a 2vs2 or more and it's a no go after 15 or so minutes. A shame, because it is a beautiful mod at full graphical settings but I guess it's too much for the old sins engine.

That said, I still play the mod and love the new fed changes (even if they are still overpowered). I haven't really tried the other factions yet since the update, but I can't wait for the Romulan update.

It works! I had to put the mod installer into the mod folder iteself after the game installed, otherwise the file errored out...but it works! I verified when watching the tiberium amount added per harvester trip. Thank you so much good sir, the campaign is now much better (still challenging, but not as frustrating).

Sadly, this doesn't seem to work with the EA launcher version (Origins replacement). Can't get the fixed launcher to give the mods option, it just loads straight into the game.

Not much is changed. The only thing I find curious is to see how the the AI reacts now since they modded some AI code. I always wondered how on the default skill setting the AI always managed to build WAAAAAAAAAAY more ships than me much faster than they should have been able to, but the lowest skill setting was also far too easy and I'd steamroll the AI.

Everything else appears non consequential since I don't play multiplayer and I never build siege cruisers since they only attack buildings (too limited a role).

Well, at least the mod isn't dead so that's good!

Armada 3 was a masterpiece, so I know this will be good when more is released.

There is an icon replacer file that was updated. It works great, the only problem now are the Echo Papa drones. Whoever destroys them, AI or human, crashes the client and you cannot proceed anymore. It's quite irritating when you've been playing a match for hours (or days) only to be stopped by a CTD bug...

Is the Echo Papa drone problem ever going to be addressed? It's really annoying that once they appear you know the game is over as after destroying a couple of them the game crashes...

That's a Sins problem I'm afraid. The Sins ai is notorious for spamming mines depending on which type of AI you are playing against. It did the same thing in vanilla Sins too.

Crashes for me when I destroy one of them. I therefor just ignore them and fly past. It's a serious problem when they are invading a system of mine though.

Yes, minidumps seem to be a way of life for this mod unfortunately. I get them all the time too, very frustrating when you haven't saved in awhile.

How much memory does this mod require? I am playing with 16gb DDR4 but the game always starts crashing after playing for a few hours. I have not been able to play an entire match without it crashing at some point starting about an hour after each game starts. I have to save constantly and reload the entire game multiple times in order to actually finish a match, kind of irritating. Never had to do that with the un-modded version.

Yeah, I'm starting to encounter game crashes as well. A repeatable one that has stopped my game cold is when I use my mixed cardassian and dominon fleet with the titan attacking a pirate base. Crashes every single time when I am destroying the third turret on the map Galaxy in Conflict. Every. Single. Time.

Mini dump, makes the mod unplayable unfortunately as the dominion. Haven't encountered this problem (yet) with other factions.

Is it the version that says it's obsolete? I don't see any other version than that one, and with that one the game crashes once you try to build an envoy ship (every time).

I'm receiving this issue as well, even after the patch update. I understand the generalized "tick down then back up" issue as that has been in effect for quite some time, but now I'm supposedly getting for example 20credits per tick according to my credit report, but I look at my credits and they are being drained by who knows what and I'm in actuality only getting 1or2 credits per tick which is ridiculous and for obvious reasons grinds my economy to a halt. It appears to be getting +20 but then -18 every tick, which is very peculiar to me. I'm actually gaining dilthium and metal at a faster rate than I am credits, which is a problem.

It just started happening after putting about 2 hours into a save, otherwise it was working fine. I'm not exactly sure how to fix this, or even if I can I may have to shelve it until I figure out what I'm doing wrong.

It is a truly amazing mod when it's working perfectly.

Not only that, but you have multiple ships with the same little diamond icons so you have no idea if you have say 20 akiras or 20 excelciors. With the ship icons it was simple to know and organize your fleet accordingly, now I have no idea how many ships I've lost and which ones to replace. I don't know why they thought diamonds would be a good idea, but it was not.

You guys have done a superb job with the mods, but I just cannot understand the logic behind changing the ship icons to diamonds. Since each ship is different and has different abilities, I like to mix my fleets. Now after a battle I have no idea if I lost 10 intrepids or 10 steamrunners...only that I lost 10 diamonds. Short of zooming in to actually examine my fleet or hovering over each diamond icon, I have no way of knowing.

What exactly is the difference between "The best of both worlds" and "The final frontier"? I cannot seem to find any documentation of the differences between the two and they appear to be mostly the same with only some subtle tweaks.

Will there be an icon replacement fix for this one too? I prefer to actually see ship icons instead of little pyramid shaped thingies, not really a fan of those icons.

Also, where can I read about the differences between this and the other Final Frontier mod?

I downloaded the mod and followed the instructions (part 1, 2, 2.2 patch and clean install) and when I load the game it does say ultimate universe, but the graphics are still stock. Did I miss a step here? They look no different. Not sure what the deal is.
