Reminds me that i need to redo the CS combat music and maybe tidy up the Prototype combat tracks.

Sorry i rarely sign into ModDB and check my account here much.
The sound settings and internal audio comments that dictate how loud the music should be were imported from the original trilogy, so this is intended.
Oldschool, now this is more my style.
late, but technically should be compatible with any version of Anomaly, all this does is replace sounds, even some unused ones.
Not something i can fix easily as i made multiple sounds out of like 3-4 of the original sounds, and anomaly does the sound weird compared to the OG games as the PDA sounds are all designed to be in stereo in Anomaly when the original sounds are in Mono, so i had to make them in fake stereo to reduce issues.
other problems i had are that i do not have access to the original sounds that were used to create the original PDA sounds like the draw foley, so it always sounds as off as it looks.
Late but i think this is a issue with the Anomaly version of Xray Engine at this point, ive tried everything to figure out what the issue is, however i yet to have any issues on the recently released 1.5.2 so i suspect its been fixed as of the release of that.
other than that im stumped because the only potential cause of stability issues was already resolved when i made all the tracks uniform in splits, which while it reduced them, didnt completely stop them either.
No, its hardcoded to randomly start at 1-however many splits there are and then fade out while still looping as it transitions.
Late but this is due to how the system works, this is a very hacky fix.
How the system works is that the actual music volume slides down to zero, then when it hits zero it switches to ambient music and goes back up, if you save the game it caches the volume of the music to either the exact volume it was left on or default to zero.
tldr dont save instantly after combat ends and the music is switching.
Because it does, besides, Tarkov has a singleplayer mod that allows you to play the game solo, so Tarkov but offline isnt a good enough excuse, so unless you are really frugal with money or have a really bad PC, addons like these are a eyesore for people who want Stalker to be well, Stalker instead of trying to imitate a game thats honestly not that great to begin with outside of its weapon system and some of its sound design, especially since you got dudes running around with sledgehammers wearing a small vest that can somehow tank 20+ shots.
I dont know honestly, never froze before using my own addon and i did everything exactly right in how its formatted, you sure you just dont have a lot of addons with improperly done audio? Xray needs a edited .ogg format with code chunks embedded so that the engine knows what to do with it, usually if theres a lot of improperly done audio it causes massive stability issues across the board
Either way, the work is appreciated
Sorry for not the best screens i was doing this early in the morning and i was very tired, hopefully you get the idea.
So after some [very] quick testing, it would seem the pouches on the sunrise suits/variants such as the PSZ of all the factions have various problems, all of them float, the dutiers have theirs clip into their leg ontop of also having their right arm mesh next to their chest when their gun is lowered [inverting? its hard to describe], the gasmask sunrise suit models pouch is espeically screwed up, the Wind of Freedoms NPCs bumpmap shows a improper texture of the normal Freedom outfit instead of one that fits the actual texture of the suit, and maybe the Ecologists look too much like they are covered in vasaline, Kruglov being the worst in Yantar or dark lighting in general.
Ive really been wanting something like this for years, but theres already some stuff that bothers me even in the preview image, the hood design for the leather jacket was a very intentional design choice, as there was a earlier rookie model in a older SoC build with a normal looking hood much like how it is in this addon and was changed intentionally, and the sunrise suit gloves on the rookie looks off, and on the bandit hands looks even more out of place compared to the gloveless hands with gold ring.
ironically the addon that tries to be the most artistically faithful isnt faithful enough to me, theres probably more that ill actually checkout ingame, the Sunrise suit and the PSZ look nice though.
Im surprised the Anomaly devs cut this.
It actually fits better with the default Anomaly skybox textures than it ever did with Vanillas such as for CoC.
I forget if 1.5.1 actually 100% cleaned out the files for the M60 compared to older versions of Anomaly, so you might need to forward port it
Its a cut weapon from the mod actually, some people like to restore it along with the XM8
I wouldnt really call these lost, anybody can download most of the SoC builds if you know where to look.
Infact there were more guitar tracks i left out for obvious reasons if you find them, and the older harmonica tracks too, but i dont think Anomaly made them work like how adding Guitar tracks work so i also left those out
Better late than never, i have about 7 years of documentation for SoC that i never properly sorted out and cleaned out some stuff besides eras, most of it was found as it is and incase i send the wrong thing, ill just sent everything
Ill keep this up for about a day because i need my mediafire space for other things, none of this is "new" and is just assorted material ive been collecting over the years out of passion for the series.
Sorry for the late response, but it is old lore that hasnt been 100% confirmed to be retconned and is mentioned in design documents for SoC, the only contradictions to that is in CoP in some texts and the SBU existing with well "U" for Ukraine in the title, hence RU being the currency as a leftover of that era that was never changed, id get into more detail but i dont wanna write a massive paragraph trying to explain this.
If you think im bullshitting i have the various design documents somewhere on my PC and i can send them over.
Just something id like to point out as a western Stalker fan, the reason the game uses Roubles instead of Ukraines currency is because of the original idea that the games take place in a alternate universe where the USSR never dissolved and Ukraine never became independant, so...

Besides, the USSR leftovers are from a bygone time, i dont think the stalkers would be assed to take down ancient posters and apparently have the capacity to make their own, so coming from someone who really dosent understand the whole politics stuff behind Ukraine and Russia, i still dont get why this exists
Its because the M60 (and most of Anomalys firearms) are taken from the source engine modding community.
That M60 model is over 13 years old: Gamebanana.com
Yes technically, but it would be more accurate to say i changed the filenames around so that the first set is SoC while the next set is build, and the last is CoP ones.
I did this because the algorithm is a little weird as to what guitar track it picks in a list
Crashlog? i properly commented all the music and i copied the script in the game files that allows the mod itself to work but edited, and i dont have any crashing issues.
Its certainly possible, you would need the right tools though to make Audio properly in Stalker, as .ogg files have hidden comments that dictate how loud they are and can the AI hear it etc, Natvac released a tool on the Anomaly Discord that makes the process a lot more easy unless you prefer to do it manually in a hex editor, you also need to be aware of how the Dynamic music system works, as songs can sometimes start on part 2 or 3, so you need to segment it properly
tldr its complicated but yes
Sorry for being late, but honestly i have no idea, i commented the files properly, so it cant be that, and ive done testing to make sure there hasnt been any problems of that sort, can you provide a crash log?
Well then you have never played Clear Sky or Call of Pripyat
Get out of here Stalker
Sadly because of how the fadeout works ingame, thats actually impossible, see post combat your music slider in options secretly and slowly goes to zero before slowly going back up for the transition to ambient tracks, hence why that annoying bug happens where your music volume goes to zero if you reload a save, (or save a game while its doing the transition, its not 100% clear to me) Now if i could 100% port over the Clear Sky dynamic music system, that would be no problem
