Nuclear Cataclysm

Mod review

This is best singleplayer mod for
Crysis,although there are a bunch
of single map`s from various modders that are equal in quality. However, this is also one
of the very few multimap campaigns for Crysis,so it stands
out.

WARTIME

Mod review

This couldve been one of the few
multiple maps spanning good singleplayermods for Crysis/Warhead,but its unfinished and buggy. I guess at some point
simply the motivation ran out.
Whats left is a good first and
a playable second level. The rest
is pretty much unplayable.

Good core gameplay and stunning grafics are the main plus points.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl

Mod review

I played some dozen hours of freeplay in this mod(vanilla CoC V1.4),from which the first dozen
hours were probably the best.
Earning a decent gear and weaponry in veteran difficulty is
fun. However,i found myself excluded from around a third of the maps because for entering them i need the psi-helmet from
the friendly scientist in yantar and although i spent some serious cash for a adjusted one. Sadly,so it seems
it takes ages to adjust it. But
well,i took eagerly missions from stalkers across the zone which often involves killing someone. Over a period of time this messed the game completly
up. Friends turn in split of a
second into enemies and open fire. Still a thing one can live with because the zone in CoC is rather sparsly populated. However, despite that
the player only defends himself
his reputations quickly sinks through the ground. Consequently getting his gear repaired and stocking up becomes increasingly impossible.

Invasion certainly counts to the best SP Mods for old Half-Life.
