Hello,

« airfield evacuation » level by “Redbr34” is a cool map, quite polished.
Author is inspired by some « Crysis Alpha » material I havn’t seen personally but Art with the night TOD and general atmosphere succeeds in its idea of a battle between US/koreans/aliens after chaos. This map plays well overall because it has a good variety in enemies, weapon rotation, a vehicule section and excellent autosaves placement. Maybe NK base is a bit overcrowed but doable. This level manages to provide a Crysis feeling with the basic mechanic of the game put in a nutshell. It is not very open or with multiple objectives at the same time so its more like Crysis Warhead but I still definitely advise fans of Crysis custom maps to give it a try, playtime is around 1h. Thanks to the author for making and sharing it.

Looks great, a genuine expansion pack for Crysis :p

Good showcase on your environements

Cave part around 0:35 and 0:40 seconds may have more objects to provide some cover for both AI and player

Refinery part looks really good, both intro cutscenes and gameplay.
Not convinced that concrete tower would collapse due to an helicopter crash but it looks awesome in game for sure !
Would love to see a rope interaction with the 0:53 crane that serve gameplay, I love to crush stuff in Crysis :D

The trailer suggest a good weapon rotation during your mod, and we may finally fight Colonel Lee in game ?!?!

I would say there are 10 to 12 regular players, though you will not find players everyday. Week end game session provides higher player counts.

I think footsteps are already loud enough, it plays a big part in the game.

I agree on the mapping quality, in 3 years watching Crydev production I think Fabiolo is among the 3 best level designers I've ever seen

There are helicopters in Bridge, Dam and Island maps

Yeah it's a lot of work, but Monolith made the engine and most of the textures and assets. Sadobash is focused on level design and making a few more textures and assets "only". Obviously looking forward to the next interval(s) release !

Hey, thanks for the detailled answer. Sounds like the use of SP AI result as a huge step forward for you.

I would love to help you adjusting the game settings, but i am not very skilled to configure stuff and so on. I guess you will post a news when you will look for testers.

Do cinematic trackviews are recreated for each player ?

Hey sadobash ! To put my review in a nutshell, i would advise you to:

1 - Improve performance

2 - Implement a better weapon rotation : F.E.A.R. and Extraction Point did this using an appropriate level design AND smart weapon+ammo VS ennemy placement. I watched your walkthrough, your weapon is 95 % of time the assault rifle: might be better to provide a larger variety of weapon

3 - Read this article Clement-melendez.com related to F.E.A.R. 2 level design that may be helpfull. Your non-linearity sections are pretty good IMO but during their first play many people will get lost currently

Ok thanks for the clarification; so the 2 files on ModDB are the latest one.

I played IT06, it was quite good but i enjoyed more your IT1&2. I think you should try to introduce more different weapons/ennemis, and build your levels so that we have to switch between all of them, using ammo placement and level design.

How are things going for your next ITs ? I watched IT07 video, looks pretty cool ; keep it up !

Hello, i am interested in F.E.A.R. mods and maps.

I notice there are 2 downloads available on this moddb page (IT1&2, IT6), and there are similar files on a firefront page :

"fear resurection 1.0 03-25-2010" and "fear resurection patch 1.1ENG/RUS"10-14-2010, what are these files ? Beta version of the moddb files ? Another level you have made ?

Played IT01/02 here, it was good. Good job, thanks for sharing it.
