I would call it a prologue it is less than a hour. There will be a small update to part one and trailer very soon. Have you tried it? Part two is not far off and will contain the meat of the game include a much more active role for the insanity system which is included in part one to some degree but very hard to activate. Expect a final update at the end of the year.
The website is back and has a playable link to our game Cthulhu Island Part 1. It is a big torrent file so help seed. Anyone that doesn't believe in Cthulhu's existence will be punished.
Nightmares become reality because there is no way to kill that which cannot die, cthulhu fhtagn.
Thanks for the support. All the pieces are falling together nicely, well worth the wait.
Other than the spider which will be redone the rest of the animations/ movement is locked into Crysis like Mrsatan was saying. What would you like to see retouched maybe our definition of what an animation is differs.
Thanks Tokoya. They are actually 99% flow graph controlled other than some leg movement. This is how we are able to path them so they chase player where ever you try to hide without canning thousands of animations.
cool how do I get a staff position at moddb
game play is like Ecochrome in a FPS beware those edges
Do you have any AI dinosaurs moving around in game yet.
Pressing "N" also brings up the map quickly so that the player can orient on the fly. (which is instantly)
There are more comments under the video section concerning the best way to do this with out compromising the atmosphere
What about putting the map away would you want to see that animation every time also? We have to draw the line somewhere and we feel this is a good compromise.
Those Dinos may be the best model/texture combo in any cryengine as of right now but we still have zero concept video that shows any Dino game play.
quick someone tell that skeleton to pull himself together
I can't wait to put our mod up for review, when it's done that is.
Until then I'll have to take a look at the competition
Looks like I have to be the first one to bring up Crysis and the sandbox editor. Stay with source if you want to wast away waiting for maps to compile.
