I'm getting like 6FPS on max settings.

I have an RTX2080 ti and an i9-9900k, so I definitely have enough power to run the mod. Anything I should change specifically to get the game to run better

Do you think there's anyway you could somehow add smurth's dynamic hud to the mud?? I'm talking about this here Moddb.com

When I was playing 1.4 I was a little jarred by the "animations" where your character would just ruffle around a bit, with this mod, it adds a lot of actual movement to the player character, and I like the huds wearing helmets and stuff, really immersive.

honestly, this would make anomaly just perfect for me.

I read that in anomaly that you made a better exosuit overlay... Can you share that with me?

Right now I am not using Anomaly, but I am using a modpack similar to it that I combined myself. I'm considering using Anomaly but, I'm not sure.

If you're going to play with HD models and this mod it will only work in 1.4.2.2 if you use this this 64 bit version of the engine in the anomaly mod pack, it works for any 1.4.2.2 version of the game. its fantastic, improves load times and allows for more ram usage.

i stopped playing stalker because without this, out of memory crashes were the norm. now there not.

I love the grass portion of the mod, its fantastic.

Except it makes the game way to hard :(

The AI see right through the flora. Unless there was some way to factor this into their AI, i'll have to use the shorter, lower resolution grass from absolute nature.

Unless there was some way to make your grass shorter, that would be the more ideal solution.

EDIT: Well, I reduced the grass density. That makes it somewhat more fair, but I wish it was possible to adjust the AI so they can't see past the grass as well.

So after setting up two installs and comparing the visuals in game, yours are so much better and its immediately noticeable.

I was setting up 1.4.22 with STCOP, SWTC, HD models, and stalker 2k but the game wouldn't even load in cordon or anywhere even. Out of memory right off the bat. I actually had to install absolute structures/absolute nature (downgrade) to get the game to even run.

Then I also installed 1.5r6 with Stalker 2k, swtc, AO, and HDmodels. It runs flawlessly. It loads fast. Being able to actually see them in game, the difference is huge especially up close. I think going forward Stalker 2k will be the texturepack of choice for people.

Are you playing on 1.4.22?

I've noticed that in 1.4.22 with the best combination of texture replacers (STCOP, HDmodels, Stalker2k) the game cannot even load in any area because it runs out of memory even with prefetch disabled.

If you're playing on 1.5rg6 and you disable prefetch and also make sure there's no prefetch_single.ltx the game will work like a charm!

After playing with 1.4 and 1.5 with many HD texture mods it seems that 1.5 is EXTREMELY STABLE and never runs out of memory. Also, it loads so much faster.

I just wish all the addon support was there!

Your textures are far superior to structures redux (especially in resolution) but I greatly prefer the grass in absolute nature vs your grass. It's shorter and better for gameplay purposes but looks nice combined with your textures.

Your interior walls are vastly superior to redux but the rusty exteriors in redux seem more atmospheric, particularly for the ships in zaton, and the metal areas in wild territories.

Honestly, I'm not even sure what the setting does. I don't really understand the code that well either. I'm just trouble shooting via trial and error.

Well I compared those to the ones you personally used and they were all identical.

Same with the enhanced animations script, they were nearly identical except in yours there were some dashes before the lines relating to field dressing. Adding them enabled the animation for whatever reason.

Just a few dashes in front of some lines, I don't know why, but adding these into the script seem to re-enable the animation.

All the other animations are working just fine, but no matter what I try the field dress animations just won't play no matter what.

Turn off/uncheck enhanced shot effects (causes ctd with certain guns).

To get the mod to work open up this file
ui_custom_msgs.xml
Delete the second line in the file that starts with #include ui_custom_msgs_magazines.xml

Now to get the animations to work with a weapon equipped you need to edit
enhanced_animations.script

"1.5 r6 uses a different animation slot. Changing slot from 13 to 14 at lines 250 and 258 should fix problem with animation not showing when using a weapon.
"if use_snd and use_snd:playing() and (db.actor:active_slot() ~= 14) then"

This seems to work just fine out of the box with unofficial arsenal overhaul 3.1 for 1.5
There seems to be other fixes for STCOP but since i'm not using that you'll have to look into it yourself.

There's a problem with some of the weapons in arsenal overhaul. If you've played with AO for a while you might have noticed that some of your shots just won't connect for some reason.

That's because all the new shotguns and some rifles have a hit probability of .8 Simple fix that takes a few minutes.

Download Notepad++

Open all weapon specific config files at once

replace
hit_probability_gd_master = 0.80
with
hit_probability_gd_master = 1

Also, shotguns have a hit probability of 0.7, so to fix that find a shotgun and do this

replace
hit_probability_gd_master = 0.70
with
hit_probability_gd_master = 1

There's an option to apply this to all open documents. There you go. No more RNG gameplay. I also recommend you take a look at the actor.ltx in the creatures config because it seems the hit probability for the actor is 0.50 in master difficulty, which means half of all bullets that meant to hit you will not register. wat r u a casul? Set that to at least 0.95. Why not 100% all shots connect you ask? Well, I like to think of those extra shots as bullets that only grazed your outfit or shot through your helmet but didn't touch flesh.

These models are amazing... But combined with Arsenal Overhaul and STALKER 2k, the 32bit software just can't handle all of it.

The game already struggles with certain areas like Rookie Village and the truck graveyard.Even setting the LAA flag on the .exe doesn't make much of a difference because you can't overcome the hardcoded limitations.

Besides lowering graphical fidelity or finding someone to magically reprogram the game in 64bit, if someone had some kind of solution to avoid out of memory crashes that would be fantastic.

Hi guys. Great mod, absolutely beautiful. I love it, out of all the other mods I have tried LURK is really the only one that keeps me interested. I have a few requests though.

Make a few optional downloads to put on top of LURK 1.2; for example, a pack that renables artifacts completely (I understand why it is disabled realism is nice but it's just fun). Also, could you make a few more variations of the nightvision? Purple kind of sucks, plus it's still impossible to see at night with it. Let us have some of the blue and the green, and keep the purple there too because variety is nice.
