Every time I try to load the game I get this error

I've never had this issue before. Any ideas?

The original HUD has nothing on it, just the animations. If you want something, there's a folder called "optional_hud_and_npc" it has all the options available.

How come there's missing "maingame.xml" files in other folders then if I may ask?

I'll post what I finish~

I'm gonna see if there is a way if I can add a forward slash "/" to separate the 2 ammo types on the hud. Once I figure it out I'll post.

Once I have the time I can see about seeing what the differences are for 16:9 and 4:3, if that's what you're referring to of course.

Edit - Another question, what's the difference between <text align="c"/> and <text align="r"/>? Does it mean one is disabled and one enabled? Because I noticed the default stamina bar xmls have some settings such as static_third_ammo and static_fmj_ammo set to "r".

I'm trying to edit the .xml's in the files so that I can get the indicators on the "Hud - bleeding, hunger icon, ammo, health and stamina bars" to also show ammunition in the clip as well as remaining ammo in my bag. Now I got the indicators to show with the stam/hp bar but I'm still trying to get it to show the remaining ammo as well as the secondary ammo now.

Once I get it finished would you mind if I shared it? So you can add it to the options available?

I also noticed 2 different .xml's one being "maingame.xml" and another being "maingame_16.xml". The latter being the only file in some options and with some settings that differ from one another but when I modify them both only the "_16" makes any noticeable changes. Is there a purpose for the "maingame.xml" file?

Found some pretty game breaking bugs/exploits, 1 being more of a feature than a bug honestly but can be pretty game breaking. Is there a private bug reporting feature with active devs reporting to it?

You know, I made a post a long while back on the original Solitude page, mentioning the status of the project. I remember having a slight conversation with Ghost from that post, talking about how such a wonderful project hasn't seen it's light of day in a while. Well to jump on moddb and see that a veteran team has dived into the project, it keeps making me want to come back to moddb a lot more than I have in recent times.

I've lurked around on this site for quite a few years and threw myself into my own projects a while back. As of late, I've wanted to be productive again, so lone behold, I discover this resurrected project So I've decided, to keep up to my word related to my previous post, I'm looking to possibly make contributions of any sort to this project! If possible of course.

My experience is nothing like the team already on this, but I am open to new challenges. As well, now that I have been out of school and have accumulated a lot of more free time than I had in the past, I wouldn't mind adding some movement to the project.

So in the end, I cordially ask the devs if they'd like to throw another member onto the team?

P.S I hope my professionalism doesn't make me seem stuck up and out of place, I'm just trying to present myself as being serious about this =P

Could save on performance though in terms of calculations. The CPU could use the performance gain if one were to play multiplayer.

I think if they used these textures and models with the weapons on the walls, it may save on RAM and CPU usage =o

You know you could just put your PSP's screen on your computer with Remote Joy Lite and just record that screen with Fraps or something ;o

Reason being, it shouldn't take up many resources at all and would help a lot o-o

After looking at this video again a month later, I finally remembered what I wanted to say 8U

For the glitch that happens with the zombies running into each other, set it up where when there is a collision of two zombies --or an inanimate object for that matter-- for an elongated period (2 seconds) the zombies that initiated contact would spread back and take an alternative route. Give them multiple way points so that when they take an alternative path, they have an option at which to take. Each path would take it's own time to reach the barricade. Meaning if the zombies choose two different paths, the chances of them bumping into each other are lower, they may do it again but when they do, the cycle restarts.

Thank you kindly =] From a huge fan of the Quake scene (right from gameplay to the roots of the engine) I have to say that this game has kept me anxious from the very beginning. Just to leave this dead & gone would be a waste of a well imaginative project. I just want to offer my thoughts and hope that they could be of any help.

I'm glad to hear that it isn't completely dead and that it's living on life support.
Here's a few points to reply =P
- Well Solitude never had an official release, so I sort of have to expect that there is work that needs to be done on it lol.
- I do understand a whole lot of us have lives (considering the fact that the original devs are busy with college and other things), that's why the idea of a group would have been a little bit of help. Say some are busy off with their lives, than others can feel free to add their "2 cents".
- It does seem the the devs want this to stay alive, and it's great to know that I wasn't the first to come up with the idea. I also understand the fact that they wanted you and a select few to actually work on the project. Since you are friends with the original devs, I'm sure you have probably been a part of discussions and ideas for the game. Thus resulting in trusting you with the assets.

One last point, "potential". With every good idea there is always a dead end or blank. This project has had such an open community supporting it, but why? Well... It has potential. Yes people are huge Halo fans, but just look at the videos, the pictures, the ideas and the project as a whole. People see the potential because of the blood sweat and tears put into this project. This game makes you anxious to see what they have added next, when they will release, etc... What fills the dead ends and blanks? Innovation, a spark lit from the enthusiasm towards potential. Heck even if those blanks and dead ends are filled, you still end up with more ideas to add to the project just to make it that more enticing.

When I say potential, I don't just throw it out there. I see the potential when I have ideas spinning through my head uncontrollably. Sort of like any dev though, when one thing is done, you have 20 million ideas in your head that you want to get down and add. It's like an addiction to be honest.

I know it's dead, but has anybody picked up what was left by chance from what the devs have left? Yes I'm probably like the 10 millionth person who has felt disappointed in the absence and should win a prize for being so arrogant but the potential this game has is substantial. Could we form some sort of group that is willing to pick this up, along with some help of the devs? I know their busy but when they can, could they give us some common knowledge about the code and the reworked engine that this was built on? Even contribute the slightest bit in what they can when they have the slightest bit of time.

I'm with everyone else, and we desperately want to see this up and alive. I use "desperately" prematurely for obvious reasons.

I'm not here to initially complain, I just want to see some possible ways to resurrect this project.

I'm thinking of making some maps of my own and probably send em your way Ju[s]tice. Worked on Quake maps a while back and I feel the need to get back into it =P sort of stopped after the frustration with this one huge map (I made) that decided to corrupt itself after fixing most of the leaks X_X
