Wow, I recently found my BF1942 and XPs CDs while doing some cleaning and got it installed just to play your mod. I forgot how awesome this mod is, you can litterally play for hors with no relative redundancy in the gameplay, the sounds are great, the maps are challeging as hell.

I haven't got to see if there are still any servers kicking yet but im pretty sure there are.

If you do happen to have installed it and you are raging because it crashes while loading... don't worry, all you have to do for single player is to create a local MP COOP game and it won't crash.

so i will have to fix my linux bugs to run a game about fixing linux bugs?

This mod is awesome, the models, the maps everything except one thing, the grass, all of it in every maps, starts about a meter from the ground... so you just crawl and you can see all the enemies, it kind of de-vietnamise the whole thing...

Absolutely awesome game, very original and creative, features are great so far. I only encountered a very annoying problem, when I exit the ship (press R), my character is where i built it, it does not stay in the ship even if its all closed with door and gravity, had to start over twice because of that.

bought morrowind GOTY 3 years ago, added MCA mod and Balmora Extended + a whole bunch of tweaks, downloaded TR mod also and honestly, don't worry about the time it takes, I probably won't be finished exploring your maps when the 3rd one comes out.

it feels just like the '99 game, add an extensive Lore and storyline, plenty of stuff to read in UFOpeadia.

I actually played it till my eyes bled.

My 3 favorite games are in order: MOO3 - Space Empires V (it feels like D&D but in space, absolutely nothing linear everything is in your hands lol) GalCiv2 with expansions and Star trek mod.

I love it when my head hurts after playing a good game lol.

yeah i had 1.00 but i patched the ones uploaded here 1.02- 1.25 and the data patch. then installed the mod and it works good... the only bug is the ''rename'' button that doesnt work...

yeh i thought MOO3 was a total flop, never thought they actually patched it. Most critics says that it sucks and that Galciv2 Beats it... Galciv2 is amazing but just isnt as much of managing pain in the arse than MOO3 (if you disable all AI)... wich I enjoy mucho mucho

Well I've installed it :) Since a game of MOO3 takes quite a long time to kick in ill post my impressions later.

there are some Interface button that are bugged and I keep forgetting that there is no More ''Back'' Button. The planets look fabulous.

I'm at turn 36 and I havent fought any battles yet so i cant say about the effects, but since I have played version 1.0 for 2 years now... it really feels fresh thanks a lot for the patches.

I am patching as we speak :) I am looking forward to see what you have done. If there is anything I can do to help (though I dont see what as i know absolutely nothing about modding) I'd be glad.

Can i install the version you posted here? ill just make a backup copy of my Vanilla MOO3... or should I wait for Xmas eve?

hmmm... there was no Ambassador class comissioned for the dominion War... They recomission a whole bucnh of Excelsior and Miranda class but the Ambassador just doesnt belong there.

whats the matter with those hoplites... Balance problem? the graphics are cool and all that stuff but the idea of a single cataphract taking on 10 hoplites without implementing any hardcore tactical work... unappealing sorry ;D

It's an open Beta, it was released mostly to introduce the public to the fact that M&B and Fallout are a good fit... whats the point of spending 1-2 years of your life if nobody wants you to...

Second reason why this was released, in case you havent read the text at the top of the page, is to give some materials for modders to help the team... Hard to ask someone to invest time in creating such an ambitious Mod if they havent even seen the work in progress... set aside the fact that we are scattered around the planet.

I'd call it a micromanaging RTS/RPG.. it feels like a blend of Total war, and Gothic II... graphics are awesome, so cool to be in the same battle against a hundred archers, the arrows actually broke on your shield when there are too many sticked in them... my eyes are bleeding tbh!

Forget about open sourced... Sieraa sold Relic before it made its best titles, and Relic doesnt exist now... Homeworld and HW2 titles officially dont belong to anybody...

Awesome mod, I was kinda disappointed to see Kushans arent there yet... keep up the good work!!

Mod works perfectly!!! just copy everything in your Homeworld folder, just one thing to be aware (unless i missed something) you cant go back to vanilla once its in the folder you'll have to install it again to play Vanilla HW1.

It absolutely drags you into the DS9 atmosphere, the ships, Firing arcs, sounds... everything!!! put the AI on hard and enjoy!!!! this beats Armada 1 and 2 alltogether, they can go back in the trash bin.

and BTW... I think this mod fits better in Homeworld 1 than Homeworld two. the formations system is quite useful i dunno what I would do without it xD
