Hi Anakin ! Love the mod, looking great, one question though. As I was trying to install the last version of your mod (by launching the exe.), v.1.3 that is, I receive such a pop up - "swb2_remaster_1_3.exe is not a valid win32 application". I'm still using win xp so I expect that there are some incompatibilities between the file and win xp. Maybe some directx 10 stuff, or new shader packs win xp doesnt support ? Can you maybe confirm it ? Or do you have other ideas, like a register error, or smt else ? I hadnt such a problem while installing the v.1.2 thats why I'm surprised.

Depending on the game version you have (gog, steam, retail disc copy) you first have to install the bf international 1.1 update. After that the unofficial patch. Make sure that the "addon" folder you created is in the right filepath.
And remember that the Coruscant map crashes if you play it on the steam version.

Thats great to hear. Any chance we see the Tatooine map in the next release ?

Oh, my bad. I don't really know what this is supposed to mean. I didn't notice any changes to the base maps either, maybe its still in progress but thats just me speculating. You can ask the devs on their discord channel if you want.

"This mod adds two new eras to all shipped Bf2 Maps+converted maps from Bf1 as well as some other community created maps."

Where do you precisely get that from ?

Well, Coruscant just won't launch. You wouldn't be able to play it.

No, you need BF2 to play it (the classic one that is). But I recommend to play it on the disc/gog version, not the steam version, since steam has problems with the Coruscant map.

So I was replaying Cato Neimoidia the past days and I thought it would be useful to describe more precisely what I meant. I think that the overall color scheme is far too dark, thats why it looks so mediaval/gothic. Especially that brick imitating textures on the exterior of the "main palace building" and the stairs leading to the entrance look too crude and too dark, I would replace them with something sleeker looking like the golden textures for the walls and colums/pillars, from the jedi temple in this video Youtube.com. The main colors in cato neimoidia should be red, gold and light brown/beige. On the actual map, we have too much dark grey and dark brown, especially on the floor textures, at least one of the floor layers should be all red. And I dont mean the floor decorative forms like the twisted hexagons and so on, they are great, just the background color behind them, red would fit better instead of dark grey/black. Adding some red banners/flags/stands outside would be good too. The outside walls of the main building should be a mixture of beige and reddish brown colors with many golden lines/friezes dividing them, going up and down. It's a rich planet after all. The map could use some more light in general, like hanging lanterns and some "street lights". Curuscant has its hologram adverts, so I think Cato Neimoidia should have some more lights or blooming shader effects. Few more golden statues in front of the golden door, flanking the stairs would be good, even if they duplicate. Please dont get me wrong I love the gameplay and the space battles on this map its one of the most creative out there, I just think that it has some potential for improvement in the esthetics for greater immersive feeling. The interiors on the other hand are really superb and I cannot imagine doing them better.
In case you plan to expand the interiors of the frigates with some additional hangars I would suggest this mod : Youtube.com. The hangar space looks very good there and could be added as a hangar for the venator in the legacy mod, if its possible of course.
Btw, love that Dooku can levitate like in the clone wars animated series from 2002-3.
Many thanks to the team working on this mod.

Alright, I had the privilage to discover this mod a few days ego and I am legitimately stunned.
It really looks like my never seen belover BF3. Cannot praise your work enough. The new Coruscant is great ! Love the new darker shaper textures, the red lights from the lower levels (reminded me of AOTS), reflections, models Grievous especially, the droid, ship and movement animations etc. A massive improvement over the 4 beta version. Bespin is very well done too, I feel like Cato Neimoidia needs more polished textures, it looks a little too medieval in my opinion and from ROTS and TFU2 we know that the planet look was more.. smooth is how I would call it. But what I am the most excited about, are the ship interiors. They are fabulous ! Glad to see that you try to replicate the first training mission from the BF3 leak footage, that's really great. Seeing the hangar of the lucrehulk was amazing too. And now we have some escape pots, that's soooo great, can't wait for the release. Few suggestions if I may, almost ashamed for mentioning it since you already did a masterful job. Can the transition between entering the pot and flying away with it, be done more... fluently ? I mean something like opening doors and than entering the pot. Also noticed that the space directly before the doors to the pots was at least in the gameplay footage from BF3 used for showing off some repairs and other stuff like clones working on a at-te. Do you plan on adding some more models in this room ? Like a few R2 units or spare parts maybe ? That would be superb. I have a huge weak spot for big ship interiors, I will probably just walk around the generator and admire it instead of fighting :D. Do you perhaps plan to incorporate parts of other mods into your mod ? I could imagine that the interior from the venator in this mod Youtube.com. Especially the bridge in the beginning and the hallway with the reflecting floor would fit into your interior design. Such maps like Mygeeto bridge raid, or Kashyyk 1.4 would be so much fun with your models, animations and space to ground combat. But still I want to thank your for your hard work Fabrico, moders like yourself are the new hope for the fandom. Keep it up ! Cant wait to play it.

A bunch of players here had this problem, me included and so far a definitive solution for it wasn't found.
However I found out, that this bug appears to me only after I install the 1.3 lite patch. On the basic 1.0 lite version everything works like a charm, meaning that you actually can fight the rebels and they make moves on their own. You have to just copy everything from the 1.3 patch except for the "AI" folder as the bug is clearly connected with the AI.
Thats not a perfect solution, since the Rebels will predominantly attack using smaller ships and thats not as fun as destroying the dauntless cruiser with your executor, but it does its job as a temporally solution. I hope that the makers will fix this in the future.

Yeah, it worked. I'm just always playing without the 1.3 patch files for the AI. Everything else works great, no crashes etc.
Nevertheless it can be a little bit frustrating though, the Rebels are almost only attacking with their fighters and smaller ships. The 1.3 patch was supposed to fix this, and it did, but I can't play it because of the AI bug. So I just fight enormous rebel fleets consisting of X,A,Y Fihter Squads etc.
Its still lots of fun, but seeing a mon calamari more often would be nice.
Could you find another solution maybe ?

Cyceron - - 19 comments @ (UPDATED) Lite 1.3 Patch (includes 1.1 and 1.2)

Just to be clear we are talking about the following files :
Empire At War Remake Light GOG.lnk /
Empire At War Remake Light Steam.lnk
each for the GOG and steam version of the game.
Right click on one of them, go to properties and change the "target" and "start in" lines. Rewrite them, so they match your actual game location (in case your main folder isn't on drive "C", or program files etc.). Finally approve the changes by clicking on apply, if you get an error pop-up, then you've done something wrong witch the lines.
After all that start the game through the shortcut by leftclick. If you are using a 64 bit system, it might be helpful to run it in compatibility mode with sys xp sp2 and with full administrator rights.
Or just replace the original vanilla "data" game folder with the "data" mod folder. Just copy and overwrite, if you dont want to play the vanilla version anymore.

Cyceron - - 19 comments @ (UPDATED) Lite 1.3 Patch (includes 1.1 and 1.2)

The Modpath depends on the gameversion you own, for more see here:
Moddb.com
Personally I recommend the GOG version.
You are launching the mod through the shortcut provided with the mod, so don't forget to change the filepath in the shortcut itself, as it is set incorrectly by default. So you should rewrite the "`MODPATH=Mods\EAW-Remake_Light`" line to look like this.

Hello Jeroen ! Just found out about this mod, its really great, my compliments. EAW was, next to the original Kotor my favorite SW game and your mode is a welcome reason to replay it. I have one bug though, after starting a new galactic conquest, playing as the Empire on medium difficulty, starting with tech lvl 5, the Rebels simply won't move. They don't attack at all, just siting there on yavin 4 with their massive fleet and doing nothing. After 40 days I already have a respectable ermpire, but the rebels still only have one planet. Do you maybe have a solution for this ? Or did someone had similar problems ? I'm using the GOG version on PC. Everything works perfect so far, no crushes, no lag, all went smooth, just this bug.
Furthermore I found out, that this bug only appears for me after installing the 1.3 patch. The basic 1.0 lite version works like a charm. I also tried to ask around on other forums and it seems to be a problem with the AI, as other users of other mods (like Thrawn's revange) had the same problem with their campaigns.

Thanks for the advice but unfortunately it didn't work. I reinstalled the game a few times now and tried different methods like putting the AI folder outside the EAWX folder, but to no avail.

You are definitely correct, Sullust is located more in the "South" of the iner Rim. Almost next to Eriadu to be precise.
