Judging by the airex maps that halflife2beta.spu site made, there was a considerable amount of vent flinging and climbing where you have to avoid electrical shock (possibally placeholder for dark energy like in retail but hey), will these climbs, and more importantly the airex reactor climb be alittle more, say, realistic or believeable like the citadel reactor climbs in retail were?

also, it would be cool if the airex tower were to blow up after defeating the gunship, which would logically force the player to jump into the aqueduct (how the airex tower gets destroyed can be the decision of the mod team), and the consequent battle after jumping off the tower should have a considerable amount of conscripts rushing about assisting the player, and the said conscripts should help lead you to vance's small HQ, fending gordon from that lone cgaurd in the map

Do you mean Шлык's mod, the Airex mod? (and, btw, it was hl-beta.spb.ru)
We are improving those puzzles and making new ones. And Шлык was the one who added the gunship, it's only in his mod; we're planning to make a fight with the Guard as well as a helicopter chasing player in the first part of the map and reappearing after the Guard is defeated. And... no, I don't think that conscripts will fit well in that gameplay scheme.

thanks for the information; speaking of the gunship, will it utilyze it's belly cannon like in the leak? and will the old audio be used or remastered or remade in any way?
i always sort of liked the way the gunship made that high pitched scream randomly while flying in the leak. i dont recall there being hunter choppers in the leak (they were osperys in fact, since at the time, there was still that concept of the combine recycling ****)

and judging by Шлык's airex mod, the maps were considerabally large and atmospheric, will there be a more non-linear-ish feel to the airex maps? and maybe secrets like secret ammo corners or dead bodies (realisticly speaking), possibly people who died from the murky air.

and how does freeman exit the airex facility after destroying the reactor?

Freeman exits facility through vents and waste disposal system that leads to the coast (where Freeman encounters Odell). Must be a tense moment with everything falling apart though, maybe even limited with timer... though it most likely will be a relatively straigth escape route so timer isn't actually neccecary, or it will be like timers in some games that are only there for counting time and you always make your way in that time anyway.

As for the secrets, why yes of course, can't imagine a real shooter without secrets.
And as for a «non-linear-ish feel»… well, there is plenty of space on maps to make some side routes and some rooms and workshops with stalkers and tunnels that lead nowhere but may contain the secrets or some mini-events. But I think it is only appliable for the first two maps, as the third map has two bosses and there isn't too much space, though there still plenty of room for stashes, somewhere behind some pipes or inside an empty oil tank. Did you ever played Painkiller? the Factory level, it has plenty of secrets and ammo hidden in workshops and tanks.

* and 4th map is the Vance hq, a strongly storyline location, so to say, where the player gets lot of information and instructions about the Airex core (so I don't think we will have time to wander around looking for secrets) and there are the conscripts who obviously will give player ammo and weapons. And then, 5-6 maps are the Airex core and these maps aren't good for secrets in both terms of logic (only stalkers work and go there and, well, now there're soldiers trying to dissuade us to go further) and walkthrough (these maps are close and complicated as they are so more rooms and tunnels only inmplement a risk of going astray). And then 7-8 maps are the Reactor and escape run, respectively.

Я перевел эту страницу транслитом, и не понял фразы насчет четырех карт Vance HQ - это те карты, которые находятся в сити семнадцать ? Или они расположены еще до эир-экса ? И что, все эти четыре карты являются сюжетными, и наполнены скриптами ( как восточная черная меза )?

Это не 4 карты, а четвёртая карта Аирекса = карта со штабом Вэнса. 1 это проникновение, 2 там по заводу бегаем до башни, 3 это топливохранилище, 4 штаб Вэнса, 5 и 6 проникновение в реактор и «паззлы», 7 сам реактор, 8 убегание при всяких взрывах.

А транслитом лучше не переводить… могу на русском в лс скинуть, если надо.
