I've not seen the game crash from building the plane. Rarely giving it a jump order will crash but never just from building it.
Which units don't have weapons?
All stealth units are revealed at close range, because invisible units punching space marines in the face was not believable.
I suggest reading the summery section at the top of this page. It explains the changes to stealth units and other things.

What race were you playing and how far into the mission?
Uploaded patch 1.9.4 to fix thousand sons summoning, improve their balance overall (buff them), and increase the cost of some eldar units.
Uploaded patch 1.9.3 to buff necrons and thousand sons early game, and some other bug fixes.
Patch 1.9.2 fixes soul harvesting. SOB faith abilitys will be changed to match the latest codex in the future.
Good stuff. I've been adding some of these to the Cinematic Battles mod. Buildings, vehicles, and the frontend commanders definitely benefit from upscaling alot more then infantry.
I just released a minor update to fix that and a few other things. Let me know if you see any other issues.
Yes, I'm working on the Soulstorm update.
1.9 for DC is out! Highlights: new units, new maps, eldar runes of battle, new Ulthwe and Word Bearers campaign textures. Also an announcement, Dark Crusade version will no longer include new races. This because many of the new races had features that only work in soulstorm, and to reduce the amount of testing I have to do between releases. Soulstorm will still have new races as it always has.

That means cinematic_battles.module isn't in the right folder. Put it in the main game folder that has the .exe
Is cinematic_battles.module in the dark crusade folder? The folder that has DarkCrusade.exe
v1.8 is out! It adds the Blood Angels, new units, map refinements, and many, many balance changes. Blood angels have every unit the space marines have (except the Land Raider ares, because thats a dark angels exclusive) plus their unique units.
I don't see any reason it shouldn't work. Maybe one person has the patch and the other doesn't? Try again with the new update.

Good guide but it doesnt mention one crucial tool, the dow properties browser
launch 3dsmax
right click the top toolbar and click customize
in the new window scroll down to the dow properties browser, drag it to the main toolbar
Also it should say were to get 3ds max because these old versions are not sold anymore and I think the torrents are dead too.

Yes, I'll add more races. Races that have lots of unique units tend to get done sooner.

How do I fix the 'SKINBATCHING -- maximum unit shader VB size exceeded' error in OE?
1. Yeah I'll fix that.
2. The game does not check line of sight for abilitys, however you can garrison infantry in the tau hq and barracks to protect them until you're ready to attack. I'll try to add a line of sight requirement but its not a simple thing (requires coding).
3. LOL I’ve never seen it do that, but gameplay is intended to be like an arms race. How long had the game been going at that point? Did the ai control most of the maps resources?
4. I’ll think about nerfing that. I had a hard time as the guard, but was able to win by attacking with the baneblade while repairing it.
5. Some modders didn’t make the right textures for campaign, so I have to find them(fast) or recolor them myself (slow).
6. Are you still playing on hard? The game is hardcoded to have 3 difficulty levels, so I increased the difference between difficulty levels to try and accommodate everyone. Hard is now extremely hard and easy is very easy.
