The Fusion mods creator has already used our content before without prior permission, so he's blacklisted until the end of time. And we're not going to suddenly forget in another 12 months so please stop contacting us on the matter.
Chugging along as usual :)
It's a nice thought, but it's not going to happen, unless... I dunno... one of our team becomes CEO of Relic :P
Hey, we got into the top 100 with 55,000 votes. A crazy amount considering the disappointingly slow and relatively uneventful 12 months we've had. Thanks very much guys!
Yep, there's a new IS-2/ISU in the works.
Thanks! I didn't realise we'd jumped so high, #19 is a good spot to be for an old dog like EF.
Not sure about the RMC, but Hungarians are a certainty :)
Yes there are snow maps, if I remember right there's at least 10.
No idea about NHC, you'd be better off asking the guys who made that mod.
Go ahead, I'll take a look when I get home in 2 hours.
Corsix Mod Studio to extract textures and model files, Photoshop with the nvidia dds plugin to edit texture files, and 3ds max 8 with the RGM importer to import model files.
Sure, all help is appreciated. Put up an application on our website with some examples of you work and I'll take a look :)
We have new vehicles in development, but modelling takes time and I have a full time job. I'd love to sit on my *** and model tanks all day, but unless somebody has a spare $10,000 they'd like to donate to my Rum fund, my hands are tied.
Why do you want a T-90? The thing didn't even leave prototype stage, it's inclusion in EF was always seemed like a cop-out so we didn't need to animate Soviet SPAAG trucks or static AA.
I'd like to see more tanks too, but models take time and unfortunately I'm working 40hrs a week these days.
Sometime next week hopefully, finishing up a thing ;)
Burton from Zombiemod (amoungst others) has stepped in to do some Animation for us while Walki is busy. TOOK YER JERB!
We've always worked on a quid pro quo system for anything bigger than a model request. If we're not offered something we need, i.e - extra modellers, animators, skinners, coders, any agreement we come to is never going to be mutually beneficial, and that's all we ask for in the end.
EF has been our life for many many years now, and I don't think we're quite ready to abandon it just yet, which we'd have to if people wanted it to fit the BK style. If we ever change the mods damage system, it'd be in a similar way to Modern Combat mod, via 'Win Condition' game-modes, but even that is just an idea floating around the æther.
We're still here, you'll probably get more engagement over on our forums though, there's been a large spike in activity from our design and balance devs recently which is awesome. Also finished some updated models which I'm sure we'll share with you guys once they're in game.
They're planned, they have been for a while, and have models ready, so we'd be stupid not to include them. Along with the Finns.
Calm yersel pal, we'll endeavour to pump out a decent update this month.
I'm sure our animator has it figured out, we'll try our best to get the rear MG's firing properly on newer Soviet models. I can't remember who animated our current KV-1, they made a mess of it anyway.
Wether or not the MG on the back of the new IS-2 model functions will be down to if we can get it working without it firing forward like the current disasterfest of a model that is the KV-1.
RMC was nuked due to complicating balance matters and causing coding issues. There were also internal disputes about changing the RMC's design, and many days of shouting at each other culminated to a point where the old balance team just refused to even touch it. It was best we removed them so we could focus on more important matters. Old hat though, this is a 5 year old issue which took us 2 years to decide on, not quite something we did overnight.
I remember the old Stalingrad map but I can't remember it being any good. Maybe we can bring back some old maps for nostalgia sake by ripping them from older EF versions, but it's not up to me.
Yeah we're slow, I'm the slowest, I'm not even going to bother sugar coating it with excuses. Though with summer coming up people seem to have a bit more spare time to spend finishing things off, we'd like to see the back of this seemingly endless 'Soon™' charade as much as everyone else. I will say that the Win10 update Microsoft has been "encouraging" has borderline broken our main animation tool too, which is incredibly frustrating, but not the end of the world I suppose.
I can't really comment on the Steam release since I've been out of the loop for a while, but I can assure of some improved models when it does finally drop :)
Developing? EF? Oh, it's all coming back to me now. All five pints.
Uni has started again for Bishop I believe (he's a professor) so he has limited time.
Yeah, compatibility patch is for the retail version of CoH, if you use the Steam version you don't need it.
If anything, this just highlights the problem with any potential Italian tree being laughably weak.
