After reading over some other comments, I do find myself agreeing with several. 9 years does seem like a fairly long time just to release the BETA for a pretty unoriginal game. It really just seems like another average FPS clone. A fairly fast-paced FPS clone to be sure, but an FPS clone none the less. I find myself wanting something that makes it stand out, but I can't really find anything.
On a lighter note, it does have a bit of replay-ability, so I'll still play it for a bit. But probably not gonna hang around for 2 more YEARS

After playing for a bit, it seems to me that the sniper is the most powerful and versatile class. You die so damn quickly that the extra health offered by Assault and support doesn't really make a noticeable difference. Plus the sniper's rifle packs enough punch to down even heavily armored enemies very quickly. To me, other guns just feel like pee shooters, at least in terms of accuracy, if not damage.
On a separate note, I am not sure if it was something to do with my connection ( I don't think so, had 70 ping average) or the game, but players and icons seem to "flicker" fairly consistently, to the point where it almost seems like lag, and you end up shooting nothing. Once again I don't think this was lag as no one in the game had ping over 100.
But in spite of these issues (and my negative K/D ratio D:) I have so far enjoyed playing this game.

i did restart steam. sevveral times. hell i went and re-installed the mod, but still nothing.

Ran the .exe and everthing went fine, but i cant find how to start the game.

Just took on and defeat 2 insane level necrons, 2v1, as imperial guard. Hooray for conscripts!

I think my frustration is very understandable. I don't have entrenchment, therefore, I can't play. Pretty simple really.
And plus, you still need a bank account to get paypal, something which most kids my age don't have. So yea

I really like what you guys did with the imperial guard. In regular dawn of war/dark crusade, I never really got the feeling of smashing my opponent with walls of infantry, hell there were times when I was out-numbered. But now in this mod, you've really got the feel of the imperial guard down. In the game i mentioned earlier, i took pretty heavy casualties, but i never felt the "OH GAWD WE ARE BEING OVERRUN" feeling i had in Dark Crusade. It was now a "oh i just lost 30 guys, oh well i have like 5 more conscript squads to soak up bullets". Wat can I say, great work.

Just got done playing against 2 necrons as IG, with Ultramarine allies on into the breach.
Loves this mod. Hooray for conscripts!!! The hellhound variants, the Leman russ variants, the Squad commands, ITS ALL SO JAWESOME. I can really crush the enemy under waves of infantry. Walls of lasgun fire, bayonets and soldiers!! I just can't get over how awesome this mod is

Honestly the M1 Carbine looks like it has a bit too much recoil. It does use a much smaller round, so it should be much easier to handle
