Hello everyone Baz here from FOK mod team,
I hope everyone is well!
I'm happy to tell you FOK team are back and have been working under the leadership of Mirage Knight again. The team have been working for about a year and have added a huge ammount of content, FOK will be updated into 9th Edition Warhammer 40K.
Thats all i can say for now foks, We will update ModDB over the next few weeks! Cheers guys!.
Most of the team has been busy with real life matters for the previous months, but we finally managed to put together a new release. There's still polishing work to do, but tyranids are fully playable and we know you want to try them out.
Due to technical problems, we cannot upload the new version to moddb right now, so here's a mediafire link:
HOW TO INSTALL:
1-Delete any old DoW40K_SS folder you had in your Dawn of War Soulstorm directory.
2-Extract this package in your Dawn of War Soulstorm directory.
3-Start up the game and select Firestorm over Kronus from the mod list!
TO PLAY FOK WITH TYRANIDS:
-Instead of Firestorm over Kronus, load up Anphelion Project.

Still no news about development?
I was wondering what was going on as well, so I asked on a DoW modding discord run by a guy that I know has access to the private beta. Corncobman (from corncobman's fun mod) replied to me. Here's what he wrote:
"New private beta was released a couple days ago. apparently there are some AI crashes and other stuff that need fixing."
I do wish they'd update us on what's going on a bit more, but at least it's good to know that that things are still happening behind the scenes.
Hello, FoK Team. Any news on project?
My lords, please forgive me, I'm just a humble servant of the God Emperor of mankind, but, I need to know, when could I play this new masterpiece? (FOK is my favorite DOW mod)
I'm new here,l can feel that there's something exciting
Will you make a new faction or even new texture for space marine from the death of hope i bet you guys know that and saw the loyalist & traitor space marines what they look like idk if that was while horus heresy era of after but they look good mostly those old terminator armor i believe the armor design's and looks of their armor is way better than before even for a simple space marine
What is this mod? I've looked at it several times and all I ever see is announcements of being back but I don't see an actual description anywhere of what it is, what it does, what it changes, or why I'd want to play it.
I'm not really sure why you got downvoted for this. To answer your question:
FoK is a 'closer to codex' mod that aims to make DoW play more like the tabletop game. The major changes are:
1. New units, weapons and abilities from TT.
2. Existing units, weapons and abilities overhauled to make them closer to their TT versions.
3. Various gameplay changes, i.e. only 'troops' class units can capture strategic points, and units can only be reinforced next to a listening post or transport.
4. New models for existing units to make the game look nicer.
5. Tyranids.
Compared to vanilla DoW, the scale was a bit larger, a lot of units and weapons were a bit more specialised in what they could accomplish (you generally needed heavy weapons to take down vehicles for instance), and diverse armies were pretty much enforced because the game used the force organisation chart from older versions of 40K. Since the mod is being updated to 9th edition though, I guess nobody really knows how the new version will play.
Glad to see you back, FoK team! Is any balance tweaks in progress? Latest released version beta had broken/op chaos (terminators, ai spamming with multiple great daemons, etc)
So bloody excited, what will come first FoK update or GW Black Templars supplement...
