I was wondering if this mod was compatible with Maelstrom. I do think that having both mods compatible would be one of the greatest experience to play this.

O my mistake, maybe in a video on youtube or the hero unit list you posted, I saw somewhere that it was a total conversion mod so I commented here just to be sure. Well i rarely get that happy when i realize being wrong ;).

In the summary it says this is a full conversion mod but i saw a couple of videos on youtube and they could also play as the vanilla races.

So the vanilla content of this game is also availbale to play with the star wars races of this mod? If yes that would be just perfect!

I try the memory trick to avoid crashes and on the non steam tweak, when i try to save it says " Cannot overwrite original file. Save with another name?"

If i may suggest something about the Wall and defense building:

The way they are like now with the side looking like a portion been torn off with steel rods all bend up dont look like freshly built defense structure.

If i may, keep the surfaces flat where they are supposed to connect and just apply a texture along that idea Img2.wikia.nocookie.net. When alone we could see the connection pegs and hole on them and when built in pack we wont have any problem imagining them connecting each other out.

Also the turret on top is a very awesome idea but a single guardmen is so weak, i think for the sake of logic replace the man turret by a automated sentry would be more convincing, artillery raining on the wall and the gaurdment doesnt die, hmmm at least the automatic turret could be healily armor so this is why it is still shooting until the whole struture is destroyed. I also hope the regular wall are still avai;able, always wanted to built myself a castle in this game.

To conclude this wall of texte, the baneblade Variant Storm lord could use a texture fix, will it be beautiful on the new release?

This is not a critic, simply a suggestion :)

Been checking this Youtube.com ( hope the link works) and seriously this seems so out of balance i wonder if thei will be corrected or if this is pretty much it will look like?

I agree that SM are supposed to be tough but that is just ridiculous. In the lore they are said to die from the heavy caliber stuff like lascanons and plama shots. Wouldn t be simpler to give them the vehicle armor class instead of the infantry? They would be very hard to kill in infantry battles but would stick to the lore and die to the big guns like they should.

The IG are knows to have by far the weakest infantry around but their tanks are plai amazing, comparing a Stock Leman russ vs a Stock pred annihilator is like comparing a armor killer vs a all rounder but if you compared tanks of each respective factions with the smae specific role, IG tanks wins 7 out of 10 battles. Cost of unit should reflect how good the unit is.

SM:
- Infantry: Excellent
- Vehicles: Great
- Fortification: Great

IG:
- Infantry: Mediocre

Could do the other races but i m already at a ''wall of text'' state. This is just my 2 cents, i cant wait to put my hands on that Grand release.

The Vasari loyal Titan, the one that can devourer entire fleets with its MAW ability, my requests are about this ship and this ship only.

1, when this ship bombard a planet, there is a vasari capital ship that has an ability to drain the planet, is it possible to give the draining animation to the titan instead of the regular laser? This would give a "Unicron feel" like the ship is devouring planets.

Second request would be to give it the ability to colonize planets, to keep in the devourer of worlds idea, you "drain the planet", then colonize it to strip it to the core.

I dont know if your even willing to do so but if other members of the community would like this, maybe just do a small "patch" to add this into the game.

Let me know what the team think about this idea.

Thats the IG, we have the guns and the range, nothing like the sound of huge guns firing to random targets in the morning!

BTW any new variant of Baneblade palnned for the next release? The arty version with giant quake cannon would go supremely well with this :P

This is great even tho concept wise it raises a lot of questions; what will be the blast radius, the damage, reload time, range, precision or accuracy, its HP and also its size in a base ( this thing seems to be twice the size of your HQ)?

Also like the current earthshaker turret we have, is it auto targeting and shooting or unlike the latest turret well be able to select it and then tell him to shoot specific targets? Even better can we just have that focntio on the turret we already have? They have a tendency to target the far away when you have hordes of enemies at your door...

Appart from that This mod is juts the pinnacle of awesome, i still cant believe you didnt get the "mod of the year price" yet.

This mod is awesome but it doesnt work properly for me.

So far i oly tried to play the CIS and the Empire, textures on the CIS Subjugator ( Malevolence for the intimates) either shows the texture on the ship with missing section and gradually become black, then i see the texture again for some time before it darkens once again. The game do crash at more or lee regular intervals and once i reload ( if it loads) the texture on the Subjugator are gone, i just have a blue mesh floating around.

I have loss of textures on the Imperial star destroyer as well and the game crashes all the time. Is there a fix? Or something i did wrong? i did follow the instructions on the "read me" about how to properly copy the order of the mods with the "CORE" file at the bottom. Also changing the graphical setting on ship textures and ship bumps seemed to make some textures come back or bug but doesnt stop the game for crashing every few minutes, is there a specific graphical set up to use?

I m sorry its a wall of text but i tough the more details the better in this case. Thank you for taking the time to read this :) and also maybe give me the way to fix it :D.

OK guys i cant thank you enough for the Stormlord, because of him i dont hink i will be playing the other races anytime soon ( its not that bad really :). Can i step foward and ask for the Banesword variant next? You know the one that shoots "earthshakers" everytime it cough? PLEASE!!!!

Also just an observation about the crusader Landraider and Ironclad dready, their hurricane bolter really do shoot in sequence in the lore? I think it would be better if all 6 bolters were just firing at will, well just want an opinion on this one.

Other than that you guys took the DoW franchise way beyond the devs original game, you made something great to something legendary. Be proud of that and we our fans i dont think we can thank you enough for all the time you invested into this, so thank you ( bowing down).

The texture on the top seems a bit stretched but i cant wait to lay waste on nids and orks!!!! Favorite variant of the Baneblade/Shadowsword of all and giant rotating canons should seduce everybody!

OMG you guys are the best! XCant wait to make a survival with this baby agaisnt either orks or tyranids :D.

Btw are the exterminatus, warp storm and necron solar flare will be back this patch? Sometimes its kinda fun to just hold the line until you wipe everything clean :P

Chompster and CadianConscript, your both right and wrong at the same time.

This gun do look insanely similar to a VBM both in look and how it works but take in consideration that calculating a caliber depends on multiple factors, not just the size of the shell. So take the 0,75 and 1,00 caliber bolt shells with a grain of salt. The VMB shells are supposed to be bigger than the regular heavy bolts yet on the model all the cannon's diameters are the same.

So yeah i think the VMB would be a much bigger caliber than this one but you cant really pull out real life numbers when on the model itself there is no size diference.

So take it easy guys no need to have an argument here. STORMLORD FTW!!!!!!!!! Sad it sucks against void shields tho...

I'm a long fan of homeworld 2 but for strange reasons it is one of the few games i never modded ( TBH i dont even know why) and i just discovered you mod, It looks absolutly insane!

However looking at your work i have a small question/ request to the mod team. You expanded the homeworld 2 universe a lot and i was wondering if you guys could have a look to Starpoint Gemini 2. Adding your content into a space sim with your ships would be quite awesome. The game is in alpha at the moment but the mod editor do exist and im sure it wouldnt cause any trouble to your team.

I love your work and it would be awesome to command one of your ships against the Vanilla content of the game and all the other mod currently in progress; star wars, star trek, i think battlestar galatic is being looked upon, you guys would represent the homeworld nation (as would i)!

This is just an idea, homeworld 2 was a fantastic game and you guys took it way further! Would be awesome to enjoy all that work with diferent game experience. If you like that idea well you have the opportunity right there :)

Yeah stormblade is good i agree, in long to mid range combat the baneblade or stormhammer are by far the best since they shoot much faster.

Stormblade plasma shot sometime fly way over the range of the weapon which i like, its innacurate at long range however so yeah this might be why i mentionned it. In the heat of battle " last hit that titan or i m toast ( shoots and miss) OH YOU PIECE OF **** I'm dead" :P. Hey while i have your attention anything on Stormlord, i could really use the twin Vulcan mega bolters on hords of Orks or Tyrannids :D. Sorry its always been my favorite variant.

The Shadow sword Titanicus for the IG "overcharged blast" does exaclty what it is supposed to do: blast anything in one shot! The regular laser attack however feel so weak compare to the regular baneblade and Stormhammer it feel kinda dull, same thing for the Stormblade plasma canon when you think of it.

If the Ultimate is willing to do so, any chances to buff their regular attack damage? I usualy play hardcore mode and a Shadowsword takes like 5 shots to kill a looted tank or anything in the same range, 2 shots i could live with that but 5 its kinda lame when you consider the long reload time ( and the strongest non titan weapon), buffing the plasma canon also but its it logic that this one deal a bit less damage.

Phalanx doomdays mnolith i think is the strongest unit in the game, i know the a fully upgraded mako titan (tau) can take 2 fully upgraded warhounds without any problems but man the Phalanx is just wrecking everything when supported with siege monoliths. Hell i can beat the C*** out the manta flying titan that just tells everything lol :P

I just started playing the lastest version and well i was hoping seeing the Stormlord Baneblade variant for the IG( crossing fingers here!) but in general i love the changes.

I do have a concern tho, Exterminatus or you know all the other wipe the map clean abilities are out or i miss checked a square in the game conditions?

Keep it coming guys, you should try to get the founding to create your own game because this is like other mentionned DOW3 or the best Warhammer 40k strategic game out there. Keep it up!

Hmm true to that, the way i play is as following, hard difficulty, fortress, hardcore, large and massive battles and units gain xp on kills. In that case i usualy make a parking spot just for the basilisks and i have maybe 12+ of these ( btw medusa' range now is a bit short dont you think?) so plundering ennemy armies is fun but i feel the buildings are too suceptible to them but again it probably cause i m playing Hardcore. Like i said in previous posts it would be nice to have a "auto repair fonction" maybe not a super regen like the Bloodthirster but something potent enough so you just dont have to always think or repairing but if its not possible its really not killing the mod :)

Well thats why you have heavy/super heavy armor and artillery for :P. Also giving your base a better chance to defend itself while you reproduce your army ( because it was raped on the last skirmish) makes the game last longer so more fun and en entreched position is not supposed to be hard to get rid of in the first places ? ;)

Oh ok, i been reading the log but i probably missed it since i was really curious about the new units :). Its ok this is far to be an issue i would prefer the option to keep relic units and disable titans before this ( and its much easier to do). You already outdone yourselves and i think you guys deserves a break after the 1.72.5 release :)

I mostly play nids and IG, since the Tyranids building self heal i m not worried about them but on the IG part i always liked playing it as a turtle, building a castle and defending it to the end ( even better with working wall guns) and the idea of placing techpriest on strategic locations so they auto repair the damaged structures around them would let me focus on the defense or offensive part. A healing aura for buildings and vehicules that could be researched or another turret upgrade called repair station maybe? I know its not a priority but it would be a nice subtle touch to the gameplay.

Omg that last release if just pure joy ( yeah missing couple hours of sleep eveynight cause of it).

I checked the forum and i couldnt find a thread about it so just posting it here: if possible is there a way to make builders "auto-repair" stuff so they run around and takes care of the damaged building while i focus on combat?

Well while where on that subject, for the Tyranids revamp, there is another mod using the model and animations of the nids in DOW2. You guys have the best of the best mod and just adding this would give the nids justice but also top the sunday with a nice, red,juicy ( probably toxic and voracious) cherry. So is this possible or the FBIquisition will come with a exterminatus order?

Btw awesome work on the IG... Yeah i m addicted to your mod...

While were there, the sisters of battle and Tau seems too OP, 2 of the Tau hasard suit destroyed my whole army on their own ( playing IG), the arcangel and living saints are neerly undestructible even titan get raped by these. The IG heavy weapons team seems to have less range and do less dmg then in the vanilla... The shadowsord titanicus could also do more damage on this regular laser attack...

Dont get me wrong this mod is the chef d oeuvre Dow needed and this is not a critic just an observation. I think i m just being over excited by this whole thing :)
