the VMB is much larger, so i'd say it's smaller cousin

I think the huge VMB is just an artist misinterpretation. This gun here is actually larger caliber than the VMB =)

the VMB fires heavy bolter rounds which are either .75 or .100 caliber.
i doubt these are bigger than that.

This gun here is a twin-linked rotary canon that fires 35mm shells, which is roughly .137 cal =) Also, it shoots at the rate of 10 000 rounds per minute. With all due respect - Have a nice day!

VMB is still much larger. i mean its mounted on tanks and titns
and these shells might be larger but are they high explosive AND armor piercing?

Now you're getting funny. Snap out of it dude =) This gun here is better than VMB. Of course the ammo is API (Armor Piercing Incendiary) it says in the video, it can be used to destroy shore patrols of armored vehicles. It also shoots tracers for training purposes and air-burst ammo for increased AA effectiveness =)

Chompster and CadianConscript, your both right and wrong at the same time.

This gun do look insanely similar to a VBM both in look and how it works but take in consideration that calculating a caliber depends on multiple factors, not just the size of the shell. So take the 0,75 and 1,00 caliber bolt shells with a grain of salt. The VMB shells are supposed to be bigger than the regular heavy bolts yet on the model all the cannon's diameters are the same.

So yeah i think the VMB would be a much bigger caliber than this one but you cant really pull out real life numbers when on the model itself there is no size diference.

So take it easy guys no need to have an argument here. STORMLORD FTW!!!!!!!!! Sad it sucks against void shields tho...

This is most likely an over exaggeration but...I think that if a person were to be directly hit with that weapon for 6 seconds they wouldn't be able to recover the body...because there wouldn't be one...

A Vulcan Mega Bolter will easily penetrate a Baneblade's armour, which can withstand conventional atomic weapons (called an "ancient Terran fission bomb" in that particular novel...). I think that beat whatever this gun can do... but it is a rather scary gun to consider IRL.
