This game follows the story of what happens after the John Carpenter 1982 movie adaptation of the John W. Campbell JR Novel "Who Goes There?". The original game borrows heavily on the story from the 2002 video game and the current sequel expands further on the plot after Captain Blake defeats the Thing entity. After the death of Whitley and the destruction of Gen Inc property; Captain J.F.Blake boards a rescue plane and leaves Antarctica. Complications arise and the aircraft malfunctions and crashes. With no report from Blake the Alaska base sends in a new rescue team of which you the player take control. Your task is to find Captain Blake and escort him back to Alaska. However the thing entity did not die with Whitley on that day...
The Gen Inc "Titan" Project Blasts into Action!
The "Titan" is Gen Inc's attempt at utilizing a strong metal compound found aboard the UFO craft that crashed in the 70's. From the alien technology they created a prototype exoskeleton to serve in a military combat role. Abandoned or discontinued for whatever reason the "Titan" prototype lurks in Story Mode should you dare to explore lost Gen Inc Areas.
It's a 3 stage battle like the jeep (the image shown is the second stage) and the pilot utilizes a gatling gun and "blade arm" respectively while a female Gen Inc soldier mounts the grenade launcher and "Barrages" you with explosive, incendiary, flash, gas and even nitrogen rounds if she feels like it.

With this sweet looking toy, gen inc would have those things under control in no time!
It's just a prototype. Mass producing something on this scale in the 1980's would surely be something out of a sci-fi movie :P
