Spud finds himself drawn into a quest to help his friend Prince Charming who's been turned into a frog. To lift the curse the pair need to find four magical artifacts, all said to be buried deep within ancient temples around the world.
A demo has been released for the indie adventure game Spud's Quest.
The game is often referred to as a mix between The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and the Dizzy series. It contains the temples of Zelda games, the power-ups and abilities of Metroid, and the item-based puzzles of the Dizzy games.
The demo contains a huge chunk of the quest from the beginning of the story right until the end of the first temple- that's well over an hour of playtime. The full game contains five temples and over 350 screens.
Get the demo from the Spud's Quest website.
The game has also been accepted onto the Desura service and will be available in four days. You can pre-order it now.
Spud's Quest will be released on September 14th 2013 for Windows.
Chris Davis has released a new trailer for his indie adventure game Spud's Quest, which is due to be released next month.

I made a little impressions video of this game.
If you're into Zelda and Metroid you'll like this game.
the brother that give you tips on what to do next for me just say i always need to find the sky lift pass, i was really happy until then . quite frustrating for a great game.
I can't seem to get this to install with the Desura client.
Sorry give it another go now.
Still not working. If I try to run it through the client it says no releases are available for you.
On the Desura page here there is only a link to buy a gift copy or to download the exe installer.
There should be a link to launch the game through the client but it's not there.
Okay I got it working now. I had to delete the manual install I did in the Desura/common/ directory, uninstall via the client, close the client, restart and redownload and install through the client but it works now. Thanks.
I really love the pixel art. Beautiful stuff.
