In this game you play as: Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine. The player's character is a member of a special law enforcement task force who is trapped in a mansion populated by dangerous mutated creatures. The objective of the game is to uncover the mystery of the mansion and ultimately escape alive. The game's graphics consist of 3D polygonal characters and objects superimposed over pre-rendered backdrops with pre-determined camera angles. The player controls the character by pushing the d-pad or analog stick left or right to rotate the character and then move the character forward or backwards by the pushing the d-pad up or down.

This PPF patch brings fullscreen SourceNext movies + Flying head fix in PSX RE3 USA version. It can be installed only on clean game image, it's incompatible with any other mods.

How do we install this patch? Same process as the main mod?
You need to get Redump image of PSX USA version of RE3 with following MD5 hash: 03CCF2F717DAD9168640F518DD4E3E80. Then you should launch Patch Tool that included in patch archive. In patch tool select the image and .ppf patch and press apply button.

Hi,
I noticed that the sound quality in the FMVs is lower than on the original PSX version (PSN download).
At least for the intro FMV this is the case, I didn't compare the others. I recorded both versions with my capture card over HDMI, played on my PSTV. Then I aligned the LKFS (integrated loudness) of the Patch version so it will have the same average loudness as the PSN version (the Patch version was a bit quieter) to make it easier to compare them.

You can clearly hear the Patch FMV sounds muffled and more compressed :/
It seems like the SourceNext FMVs have better video quality but worse audio...
