Here's a series of short and on-point tutorials for beginners to help you understand the editor and guide you to make your first map for Half-Life 1 as well as any other GoldSrc game or mod such as Counter-Strike or Sven Co-op.

Note that these tutorials should work for JackHammer and Sledge Editor aswell since they share a similar interface to Hammer Editor.

It doesn't matter, Jack Hammer has pretty much the same interface as Hammer Editor so the tutorials should work for JackHammer aswell.

By "missing textures" what do you mean? do you mean the textures aren't loading? If so then you may need to add them first:

If not,can you post a screenshot? also post the error log and I'll see if I can help.
