Half-Life: Opposing Force is an expansion pack for Valve Software's science fiction first-person shooter video game Half-Life. The game was developed by Gearbox Software and published by Sierra Entertainment on November 1, 1999. Opposing Force is the first expansion for Half-Life and was first announced in April 1999. Randy Pitchford, the lead designer on the game, later noted that he believed Gearbox was selected to develop Opposing Force because Valve wanted to concentrate on their future projects. Over the course of development, Gearbox brought in a variety of outside talent from other areas of the video games industry to help bolster various aspects of design. Opposing Force returns to the same setting as Half-Life, but instead portrays the events from the perspective of a U.S. Marine, one of the enemy characters in the original game. The player character, Adrian Shephard.

Description

I manage to mix maps from "We've Got Hostiles" chapter from Half-Life 1, now instead of 5 maps, they are mixed in only 2. I wanted to make them all in one bit the engine could not handle it and it was almost impossible from map design.

This is replacement for standart campaign or just edited maps?

It does not replace it, the maps are named "hl_wgh01" and "hl_wgh02". At one part, it mixes some maps of the chapter, so instead of 5 you now have only 2, and from another part, each game (half-life, blue shift, opposing force, decay) has different encounters, so you won't repeat the exact same thing from to one. I hope you enjoy it! Check out also the trailer on youtube (unless you did).

2 things, decompile the maps and the "fgd" files for the games's tools. As for combining the maps, I just did a normal copy/paste.
I wish that you enjoyed the 2 maps in all 4 HL games!

In this case, I will make a video and show you the easter egg, or you can download a non-steam version of the game. Try to see Decay's. What about Half-Life 1's easter egg? There are 1 for each:" valve & valve_extra"
One last thing, can you look for something called "Bleen Shift"?

Why are alot of the textures misaligned and why are some parts of the geometry either missing or sticking out?

That's because I decompiled the maps to merge them, and decompiling isn't 100% accurate. But I will release a better version by fixing some problems and textures with the addition of playable versions for some mods like "point of view" and "zombie edition"

If you meant by "geometry" that long ladder, I had to make it long, or else it would never have worked with the other map. Besides, this is just for fun.

it's great, but why doesn't it have a connection to c1a4?

Because I removed the trigger for the next map. This is just about the "We've Got Hostiles" chapter.

This will require me to also add on the next map because it read the previous one as "c1a3" while I changed the name to "hl_wgh01"
But with the help of bspguy it is easy to do
I do have a better version with fixing most of the problems, I can't just find time to finish it

oof, well it would be great a Half-life without fewer loading screens, it would be a miracle and it would be enjoyed much more than it is enjoyed

I wanted to do this. I actually have mixed maps of "Anomalous Materials" and "On A Rail" (first 3 maps), but it was too hard to do it with decompiling.

You can still do it with bspguy, opening the "c1a4" map and change both landmark and changelevel trigger to match with the mixed maps name

I know, I figured out how to do it after I finish with this. I did put a file to instruct on how to spawn her, just load a normal Decay map and then load this one. Also, don't load it from the main menu because that way you are entering "singleplayer mode" which is obviously won't load 2 players, make sure to be in multiplayer to work.
