GoldSource and Source Multi-Tool v0.0.3 to extract and decompress various GoldSource and Source engine file formats (support for more formats in progress).
Are you working on compressing to .xz_/injecting files into it?
No that's not something I'm looking at right now - if you're interested I can share details about the compression.
Hello tschumann! i am a Brazilian Romhacker, your project is very promising and i would to sugest the possibility of re-insert/compress .bs2 files into the disc again, this feature would allow to make any mod on the Playstation 2 (such as porting source-based games to the console),as you can see my english not is perfect, but it is enough to allow me to thank you for your wonderful work. good luck with you project!
srchronotrigger53 .bs2/.pak recompression isn't something I've looked at but I think it is quite doable.
I think there are other tools that can already do this anyway.
I understand, lately I've been looking for tools that can do something like this, but personally I haven't found anything, I have been studying programming in C for a few months, but it's still not enough for me to accomplish this feat. But who knows in the future.
srchronotrigger53 yeah the tools may be hard to find now - 10 years ago when the Decay mod was still new there was interest.
I've started working on .bs2 compression for gssmt - no ETA sorry but hopefully it will be in the next release.
I really appreciate your willingness to help the half-life community, well, I apologize if I caused any discomfort I am not trying to occupy you if it is not in your interest.Anyway, I leave my suggestion and I hope it can be useful, thanks for your attention and apologies again for any inconvenience.
srchronotrigger53 no worries - Github.com might be useful for now? Not sure if it compresses.
I will give a study on this tool, thanks again for the indication and the help. ;)
Edit: I took a look at Github and this author's moddb, I even saw that it already brought some things to the playstation 2, amazing, it was certainly what I was looking for, I don't know how to thank you, but you helped me a lot tschumann. Thanks for everything bro.
srchronotrigger53 no worries - happy to help.
Help!

TheTechnoGuy18 what is the problem?
I cant open the DVD_[map-name].xwb files from CS Xbox) Idk if its something in gssmt thats causing this or if the files are not supported by it yet
TheTechnoGuy18 .xwb files are not yet supported - I think they are sound file archives?
This supports packing and unpacking .pak files, yes?
I was just about to write my own implementation for a program I'm working on as of writing, but if you could give me permission to use your program in conjunction with my program I'd be really grateful.
Hopefully it's MIT licensed.
Thanks in advance.
kimilil it only unpacks .pak files.
This is closed source - please don't rebundle it. GCFScape is based on an open source library with .pak file support.
Thanks
tschumann How Do I Compress An XZP File To .XZ_ I Can't Use The Tool?
Compression is not supported - only decompression.
Do you plan on doing an update for this in the future?
Not imminently - I'm focusing mainly on extracting.
I can have a look and see what's possible though.
Yes Cool, That Would Help A Lot And I Would Complete My Project, I Think It Would Help Even More If The Compression Was For .XZP Files, Even Because The Game Doesn't Need The .XZ_ To Run, It Only Runs With The .XZPs
Okay I haven't done any sort of .xzp support.
