Use this pack to make Blood 2 feel slightly less RAW. The game is pre-configured to use DGVoodoo2, load the widescreen patch and run at 1920x1080 with FOV 90. If you want to play the Nightmare Levels, start the game and from the launcher, click Customize. Under "Rez files to load, remove "WidescreenPatch.rez" and add "WidescreenPatchNm.rez". Includes: - official patch v20 - official patch v21 - res patch (fix for resolutions above 1000px height) - unofficial widescreen patch - DGVoodoo2 (more stable 3D renderer) - autoexec.cfg (pre-configures everything) They've already been "installed"; Just extract everything to your Blood 2 directory and overwrite.

I'd like to thank you for this as it has doubled the frame rate of b2 on my laptop. I'd love to use it for a mod I've been tinkering with off and on, but I have to ask, are the b2p rez files necessary? Blood2 nightmares is blood2 v.2.1. If nightmares is installed the patch is automatic.

The framerate improved instantly and it is indeed way more stable.
Sadly the AI is still very broken but at least it won't crash as frequently than the normal version.
Even with this fix UNPLAYABLE in Direct3D!! Extremely slow, almost complete standstill! From the intro to the main menu alone 2 - 5 Minutes (if not longer!)!! Extremely stutter if you want to choose something in the Main Menu. The opening sequence is more of a slide show with a maximum of 2 FPS!!In software mode it runs reasonably OK, so it looks modest... It's not 1920*1080, it's more like 640*480 or 800*600... This used to be an absolute favorite along with KingPin and Soldier of Fortune. And then even the GOG version runs so ****** with fixes...
The question is, why does KingPin, Soldier of Fortune, etc. run almost perfectly with fixes and Blood2 not? Yes even Blood1, Heretic and Wolf3d run PERFECTLY!!

Well except Blood, all of them use the engines created by our lord and saviour John Carmack. Blood uses Build Engine which is also pretty nice engine. Blood 2 however is an unfinished game rushed by a greedy publisher, because if they are given time Monolith has ability to create amazing titles. FEAR is proof of that.
