Brings the triumph and turmoil of some of history's greatest Asian civilizations to stunning life. Wielding the symbolic power of immense Wonders of the world, lead the armies of China, India or Japan in a struggle for dominance against the European powers, or against each other. Crush opponents with ranks of new military units, such as the Chinese Flame Thrower, the Indian Siege Elephant, or the fierce Japanese Shogun. Or play the role of master diplomat, and befriend your allies at the Consulate, biding your time and building a force of foreign weaponry that will topple your enemies. In Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties, players use the might of the East to bring the world to its knees.

Another good mention of the AI:

"Better than a noob!"

"AI is pretty smart."

This AI now handles more maps well, especially water maps as it can fish boom effectively. I recommend TR30 with the AI on regular maps or TR20 on my custom maps.

Here is a screenshot video of the AI in previous versions in action on some of my maps hosted online:

The AI 12 - Guardsman is an upgrade of the Flycatcher that has special rules for Treaty Resource Saving and tries to consistently get to Industrial Age by 20 minutes and Imperial Age by 30 minutes.

Again the AI Bot is not 100% a player, but more closer to a 75% player on its highest difficulties. It tries to build its civilization's best units and its unique units, and use the civilization's best cards.

Use Handicap to have a very good game.

Have 50% Handicap Bonus for Players, and 50% for Computer Players.

This will help the AI age properly and give more resources out of the trees, berries, mines, fish, and hunted animals.

I recommend this for online treaty games with AI allies and opponents, even though it doesn't give XP. I suggest Handicap Bonus for regular maps, that are not custom maps.

This will work out well for 20 minute treaty, or 30 minute treaty and even 40 minute treaty. The Player will be able to get to Imperial Age under 20 minutes with the bonus, and giving this bonus to other human players in the game will make a fun match for all to play!

On custom maps I recommend only giving players Handicap Bonus, and letting the AI build regularly, especially if players start with high resources.

In a rare bug with Russian AI on Hard, or Japanese AI on Expert where it won't build units after an update, switch difficulty, play a game for two minutes, then switch back to refresh it.

I recently had an online game where Japan didn't build units after Treaty ended; this was the only AI I didn't play against after July 17 update. I tested it on Hard, then Expert on Single player (just switching difficulty), and AI trained units as regular. To remember to refresh your AI script after installing an update (that is switch difficulty, then back to what you want to play with)!
