Hi vegeta2015. 👋

Which renderer have you chosen?

Reply Good karma+3 votes

It's opengl2

Try switching to rend2 (New Renderer).

Hmmm... Are there any issues with RealRTCW as well?

No it is working well but on opengl1 also rend2 with realrtcw does not work

Seems like a iortcw related issue. RealRTCW uses iortcw, and rend2 (aka opengl2) is a feature from iortcw (ioquake3). Some people who cannot launch rend2 tend to get issues with opengl1 too, which appears to be the case here. There are a few reports to check at Github.com. I wish I could provide you with a "Minimum/Recommended Requirements" table, so we can isolate what's causing the issue within your computer's specs. 🤔

P.S. Have you installed Patch 1.06 for TDA Remastered? It fixes opengl1 compatibility. 😐

Are you install in right direction?

I think that WolfETPlayer must include in your Mod these files (sp_pak3.pk3 and sp_pak4.pk3) to help future players with pure RTCW installed.

Hey William, magnificent mod so far. My only problem is that it crashes to desktop without warning after playing for a while, i don't know why that happens.
Could you help on this issue?

P.S: Just letting you know, i am not good at computer terms so i sadly wont know much.

1)Try set low graphic. Most of times its helped me.
2)Delete file z_Sl_RtCWHD.pk3

Hey William.
Version 1.12?
What has been changed?

Reply Good karma Bad karma+2 votes
William Faure Author
William Faure - - 766 comments

Hey vicpas. 👋

I have included the "Patch Notes" in the Description tab (Read more...). In short, Version 1.12 is way lighter than previous versions (due to files cleanup), and it's now compatible with RTCW Venom Mod and the Splatterladder RtCW HD Pack. There were also a few UI changes to attenuate the "timeout" crashes some players are getting with the Notebook and the Load screens. For example, texts in the loading screens were cut.

Have a good day! ✌️

Ok, William.
I understood that "RTCW Venom Mod" is recommended, not necessary.

When I choose rend2, it takes a loooooong time to load, around 1m30s, and it constantly freezes every 3 secs when I'm playing. Am I doing something wrong? I could work around this issue in the RealRTCW SP campaign because it has an option that allows me to reduce the size of the upscaled textures to 1024, or 2048, and disable texture interpolation, which seems to do the trick. But those options appear to be missing in TDA. Any workaround?

Specs:
Intel Core - i7-7700 CPU 3.60GHz
RAM - 16GB
System type- x64
GPU - NVIDEA Geeforce GTX 1080 ti
Running on Windows 10

Thanks!

PS: Loving this mod, and desperately wanting to see it fully working with all that eyekandy goodness... 😋

Thanks, but I've noticed opengl1 works just fine. The problem is that it doesn't come with all the nice features that the new render provides, like dynamic shadows, better lighting and overall atmosphere

Reply Good karma Bad karma+2 votes

I dont think so. When mod released, it work only with rend2. Patch 1.06 had opengl1, but it worked bad. Now we have version 1.12. Here fixed opengl1 (mable rend2) and bag with notebooks. Now you can play without problem.

Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully performance with rend2 will improve in future versions. Until then I will be thoroughly enjoying the rest of this amazing campaign (still in map 5).
Cheers!

After launching from TDA Remastered x64 batch file, the game opens. Everything works fine, till the game starts loading. After loading, the game crashes. Also, when I am launching from RealRTCW.x64.exe, no mods or the game itself, can't start.
But, when I start from ioWolfSP.x86_64.exe, the TDA Demo and the game works fine. But, ioWolfSP is unable to run TDA Remastered. The error shown after launching from ioWolfSP.x86_64.exe is:
"IN_Init called before SDL_Init(SDL_INIT_VIDEO)."

PC Config:
CPU- i5 7400
Ram - 4Gb
Card- 2Gb Zotac GT 710
Arch - 64-Bit Windows 10

Stuff I installed from this website after installing fresh RTCW Copy:
1. Patch-data-141.zip
2. RealRTCW_3.0 (Lite).zip
3. TDA_Demo_120217.zip [Just to check if it will work fine or not)
4. TDA-Remastered-Full-Version-1.12.zip

Don't install patch 1.41, it mable crash you pc. Play with only RealRTCW 3.0 And set renderer in "old renderer"

Error Again:
1. Removed all the previous installations.
2. Installed Fresh Original RTCW Copy.
3. Installed RealRTCW 3.0 Lite.
4. Then, extracted TDA in the installation directory.

Here's what I got in reply.

Also, there is no such folder (as written in 20th line)
"c:/program files (x86)/steam\SteamApps\common\Return To Castle Wolfenstein\main"

Hey! I got it working now. Actually, what I've done is just copied the "Main" folder from the v1.41 patch to the game directory. Also, I am using the old renderer.
Thanks for your support _Pavel_ :)
