Splatterladder RtCW HD Pack
Full Version 35 commentsI've been playing 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein' since the day it was first released and I still play it to this day, 18 years later. It's definitely...
I created this HD texture pack modification in order to give Return to Castle Wolfenstein a more modern, up-to-date appearance.
This 'RtCW' modification has been created primarily for the singleplayer version of the game.
Mod Installation for Players:
Place the '.pk3' file in your 'main' folder of 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein'. In order to uninstall the mod, just delete the file.

Hello Mate.
First: Great work.
Second: Did you manage to work all the textures of the game?
Third: Is this package definitive?
Thanks, Vicpas, I'm glad you like it. In regards to the textures, I upgraded all the textures I could find in the game. Have I missed a few? I've no idea about that.
Will I update the HD pack? Perhaps later, there's a few things I'd like to change.
OK, If you find something new to do, then i wish good work!
I finally released an update for the HD pack, Vicpas.
How complete is this compared to Venom mod? Also I notice that it uses the weapons models from Dark Army: Uprising modification/William_Faure Remade Weapons, but it has been pointed out that they are not compatible with multiplayer due to some polygon limit that only it and not single player has. loading a multiplayer game reveals some of the weapon models to be broken. You may want to contact team ioRTCW about this see if the limit can be removed on the sourceport.
Thanks for your feedback, Guy. I already know about the HD weapons not working in 'RtCW MP'. I only use one weapon from William's mod and that's the sten gun, I really like his model.
I created this retexture work primarily for the singleplayer version of the game. However, I've retextured every folder that I can find.
Hi. It’s very good that you continue to improve your texture pack. I only managed to play a couple of levels with him, and my opinion on him still has a lot of work to do and it was too early to release it. Many textures still need better tiling and scaling, as an example: hay is bigger than a shovel I.imgur.com some with faded some with extra brigth-saturated I.imgur.com and some choise not good I.imgur.com I.imgur.com I.imgur.com I hope this information will help in your hard work. Regards.
Thanks for your feedback, Yo$hik, it's always appreciated. I never noticed the 'hay' texture scaling until you mentioned it. I don't understand what you mean when you say 'saturated', in respects to the flag. Also, in respects to the guard hut, I like the faded appearance, I regarded the original version as being too bright.
As for some choices 'not being good', I don't agree, mate. I like the 'tunnel' textures. Also, I don't understand what you mean in regards to this texture: I.imgur.com
Do you mean the brickwork around the door frame? I can see I have made an error there, each side is different.
Thanks for taking the time to test this, Yo$hik, if you find anything else, let me know, please.
This pack is very good. There are ome issues like the reports by Yo$hik but you are doing an excellent work on custom textures.
Thanks very much for you comment, Baron.
