High Speed Solo!

Grand Coders was founded in 2015 on the kitchen table of the game entrepreneur Richard Douglas, but the true story began in the distant year 2001, in where the advent of Unreal Level Editor 1.5 had changed everything.

Unreal Engine Level editor 1.5 -2001

The CD game of the UT Gold 99 that shipped with the Level Editor 1.5 had turned the young enthusiasm into a career in almost 15 years (!) later. Changing textures in High Speed Solo level and making it work on a Celeron 433mHz with an on-board 8MB VGA was indeed a High Speed Solo.

Why we are

We always wanted to make full feature films, but it was and it is a very expensive set of production. We have discovered a game engine that made an artist working comparatively easy - the Unreal Engine.

Not only it had a comparatively easy jump-start but also introduced the simulation of the cinema production. By having such focal tools as:

• Panavision 35mm
• Academy standard 16mm
• DSLR movie 35MM, and other cameras

The making of a reach story game made its point.
