Most locations are now toxic and require you to have a gasmask with filter or oxygen tank.
Majority of Zone locations now have toxic air and thus will drain your health without proper protection (+some visuals and sounds) ;]
Adding variety of oxygen tank/filter attachments which can protect your lungs from toxic air. You can wear only one at a time:
Filters are used as gas mask (or outfit with built-in helmet) attachments. Condition loss depends on environment toxicity, higher tier filters have more efficient protection and will last longer. Filter protects you till condition drops to 0%. To use filters drag it onto outfit/mask.
Oxygen tanks are equipment attachments (i.e. belt slot). Unlike filters, oxygen tank's condition loss is always same and doesn't depend on toxic air. Tank protection is more constant than filter's, but they are heavier and consume more air during sprint.
You can get oxygen tanks/filters from traders (depends on faction and goodwill). They also can be found on dead stalkers, but usually with lower condition (depends on faction and rank).
Some factions now start with free filters and a better gas mask to be able to use it.

I initially wanted to make it as close to realism as possible, but with tanks weight and duration it brought me to a simple videogame concept ;[ So the addon now serves the purpose of being simple and easy to understand rather than an extra complex system, sorry if you expected something different.
Installation is simple drag and drop of gamedata, you already know it ;] Also you need MCM, else your loadout masks won't get replaced:

Uninstallation (also explained in last MCM option description):
Addon adds new items into the game and as any other addon with new items, disabling it and trying to play on this save will lead to crash. To uninstall it properly you will have to do a bit more than mod manager box check:
1) Find and press an MCM option (last one) "DELETE ALL TANKS ON NEXT LOAD"
2) Save your game, then load this save.
3) After loading all tanks should be gone, now Save again ;]
4) Quit the game and disable addon. That's all.
(for people without MCM: 1) go to toxic_air_mcm.script; 2) set ["delete_items"] = false to true 3) launch game; 4) save, quit and disable addon.
Should be compatible with everything, addon only adding new files.
Some addons might use trader_autoinject.script already, this one is same everywhere so it's fine to overwrite.

Yeah, masks are actually replaced to what you get in his addon. So it will be compatible even if you don't want it xd

Greetings mate, apparently the plugin overwrites several important plugins in my MO2 list like Weapons Overhaul, Powered Exo, Exosevas Oufits, Glowsticks among others is it safe to overwrite them? In what position should I put the plugin in MO2 before or after all these plugins?
If it's just a trader_autoinject.script then it's safe. All addons use the same file. That's what I meant in description when I said "Should be compatible with everything", but I should have been more concrete ;] will add it.

Looks like a very interesting idea. This addon completely changes the approach to planning raids deep into the Zone. Now you will have to worry about toxic air and choose a gas mask and oxygen tanks. Makes everything more immersive and mistakes more dangerous. It would be great if you add a mechanic of changes in air toxicity depending, for example, on the weather, wind, time of day, etc.

Great job, it's good that someone decided to take on the aspect of implementing weather and atmospheric hazards. But I would like to ask, is it possible to release oxygen tanks into the slot of the backpack? Not every suit has enough belt slot
You only need them for north/labs and at this point you should already have at least 1 slot. Implementing it for backpack slots will be hard cause some outfits block it.

is this different from the radioactive air, that you have in vanilla anomaly?..and if it is different, should i enable the radioactive air in anomaly, in order to this work?
Pretty sure this one purely drains your health. With vanilla Anomaly it's probably not great to have both on, but if you're using Arszi's Radiation ovarhaul, it might be cool to try both options at the same time.
Radiation during day? That's just well... you get radiation during daytime. I don't know how these 2 features can be related or dependent on each other. You don't need it enabled for this addon to work, but you can try both, I never tried that radioactive mode.
daytime radiation as it is is a pretty useless feature. it is only relevant in the first 20 minutes of the game at best, any gas mask beyond a respirator will completely cancel out daytime rads. it´s still ok for a difficult/hectic start I guess
Misery had Dark Mode which pierced through your armor a bit. You had to have SEVA to walk outside at daylight. It was awesome. Wish it worked like that here.
Wonderful, but i have a problem, not related: i play in free mode (not story nor others) and already i don't have any real reason to go to labs, and Chernobyl. I would like to have a reason to go to this zones, maybe with your mod enabled... anyone known a mod that add something to labs etcetera, like special loot, unique weapons and so on? Right now, i mostly stick to central maps, plus swamp, and some of the northern maps. :( The problem with Anomaly it's that don't provide any benefit to go to dangerous maps.

friend, I love the add-on, I panicked when my oxygen tank ran out in the middle of a shooting in the outside of Pripyat. Something that would help this complement a lot would be to be able to separate the empty oxygen tanks from those that are already full or half. Beyond that the complement is excellent 10/10

Can make it like another attachment, to fit the gameplay you will choose to wear either a tank or filter. Tank will give full protection from 100 to 1 condition, protection of filter will decrease with condition. Redrawing helmet icons and change them dynamically (let alone icon patches) and attaching it to helmet instead of belt slots will be too hard.

Yea, it's sound good. The filter is not heavy, but the protection is worse then tank.

Cool mod, love the compatibility and MCM support.
One thing I'd request is a total toxic air on/off switch within MCM so that even the extra masks at the beginning and extra tanks/overwrites of radiation overhaul can be switched off.
So players choose per-game whether toxic air is enabled - as I like to mix up my new games with different settings each time.

I have one question, since I play with the Exoseva mod ( Moddb.com ) does your mod recognize the Exoseva suits as a armor with a good mask?
