Hy there guys!
At the begining of Kontroll, we planned to put an inventory system into the game, but without any code support we thinked its impossible....
Until now :]
Using the same way what Baxayaun uses, i managed to make an inventory just by using the Hammer editor! Yes only with the editor's possibilities, without coding any row :)
So here's a presentation video about our first working version of the Inventory System, wich will be useable at all maps !
(I'm not live in the USA, so my english speaking have some errors, sorry about that guys, i will polish my speaking ^_^")
Furthermore, i played around the scripts a little bit, and I created 2 types of minigame for the mod.
The first one about a little maze game where you should move two cubes into their places in a small 3x3 maze. This maze was also the prototye of our inventory navigation system :P
The second little minigame type is similar to the Bioshock 's hacking minigame.
Your objective is to press the LMB when the pointer is over the green areas :)
After all both minigames are just test about finding out Hammes's possibilities in a differrent way :)
What can i say? an USEABLE Inventory and different type of minigames will be a part of this mod :)
Also Medve_a_maci from the hungarian Half-life portal called TotalHL.hu made and interview with me about the Kontroll itself!

Pretty cool :D On the Bioshock hack, can you ever fail?
Yes you can fail, when you press LMB when the pointer over the red sections, if this happens the minigame ends at the current level and you have to redo it from the 1 level. (I made 3 level, as in Bioshock 2)
Pretty nice, and neat minigames, I wish you luck, and I don't got perfectly the second minigame, so, you must hit the green things instead of the red ones, right?
Yes, as in Bioshock 2, when the pointer moves along the slide you have to click in the correct time when the pointer is over the green sections. You have to do it 3 times before something happens (in explame a door opens)

Looks great, I could never find that level that Baxayaun with the inventory, could you tell me where you found it? Nice stuff though, I've never been able to make a point_camera do anything. :P
well as far as i know, he never relesaed his mod with the inventory yet.

A thought to keep in mind with the Bioshock 2 puzzle, Red/Green colorblind is the most common form of colorblindness in the world. So it would be a good idea to make sure that you have different light values for the colors in that puzzle that way they are easily differentiated for everyone.
