A list of what I'm currently planning to add in the next version.

Construction Props

I'm currently planning to add in the various structures and defenses added into Planetside with the recent construction update. I'm still in the process of messing around with buildings in order to get the hang of it but I'm making fairly good progress whenever I have the time.

I feel these would be a good first addition mainly due to them being added into Planetside with the aim of being modular so players could build their own bases with relative ease. They're also a lot simpler than the set pieces used for the games capturable bases so it's easier for me to work with them.

Base1

Barricade1

Barricade2

Note: The barricade shown here can actually be fully utilized by infantry, it took me a while to get all the volumes right but they can take cover and shoot through the windows as well as move up and down the stairs properly.

Bunker1

The bunker is still a WIP that's why it's just a render image atm. Unfortunately I don't think it's possible for infantry to have full movement in both the interior and the above exterior as land overlays can't have infantry beneath them to my knowledge. So I'm not sure exactly what to do with the bunker right now depending if people would prefer to have movement on the inside or the outside.

That's all I have so far, there's obviously going to be more in the actual update so don't worry about that.

Feel free to leave any comments or suggestions (both positive and negative) below.

I would prefer if the bunker was usable on the outside.

Do you think it would be worth making 2 versions, one with the door blocked and access to the roof and the other with the stairs removed and access to the interior?

That would definitely be worth it.

Couldn't you design the model to be like a house? There are multiple story houses in MOWAS2 aren't there?

The problem with the houses is that you can only access the second floor by ordering a troop to say a window, and he'll go to that point on the bottom floor then just teleport up to the window as though he was entering a vehicle or something. Though if there are any buildings that allow actual movement on multiple floors it would be helpful if anyone could tell me it's name so I could check out its scripting.

Yeah I thought you might encounter that problem... hmmm is there any way you could model it to be like two objects, like a staircase independent of the platform that leads up to another bound object?

Sort of like if the tank chassis and turret were separate entities.

I don't think that would work either, unfortunately. If you spawn say a bridge in the editor, and lift it as high as you possibly can then switch to the terrain editor grid (Where it defines ground, water, swamp etc...) you'll see that it just makes the map grid extremely steep but still rise into the air, preventing anything from passing that area of terrain below the bridge.
