I can't believe it's been a year already! I still remember that time when I first loaded up jk4.atlanteangaming.com and posted an application to join the team. Back then, we had nothing. We were just a bunch of Jedi Knight fans with a ton of ideas trying to piece them together to make a mod. Look how far we’ve come!
Now we have a team of about 12 active people, not to mention considerable progress on the development of Jedi Betrayal’s story. The story has actually gone through several major changes. From the beginning, we had a bunch of ideas about what we wanted in the story. Unfortunately, however the original script eventually became a mish-mash of a whole bunch of ideas from a whole bunch of different people. What was good was that later on we established a writing team of about three people that were committed to writing a realistic script. After reading the original script, we felt it had many major problems, and as a result, we decided to scrap all of it and write a completely new story. While it has been a lot of work, all of us are extremely satisfied with the result, and we hope upon release of the mod, the players will too.
Progress on mapping has also been made. The first level is nearing completion, and considerable work on the second has been made as well. While we cannot say too much about the story’s locations, we are very excited about all of the planets that will be included in JKB!
We wanted to do something special on the date of the mod’s first birthday, October 20th and so we released our official website. There you will find the latest news on the mod, and to come, you will find special screenshots, concept art, videos and general newsletters about the mod.
