You have to have the Rift plugged in, then the option should be available in the Video menu. You may also have to enable the "upcoming" Source SDK 2013 beta. It's a bit complicated because Valve is still writing all of the integration code for it, and honestly I haven't tried it yet on Linux, only on Windows.

Thanks for replying, but the option isn't available in Linux - even if I do switch to the SDK beta. All other VR-enabled Source games (HL-series + Estranged) works fine.

Well my Linux box is on another continent right now unfortunately so I can't look into it. It may not even be available, I think Valve does most of their VR development on Windows. Sorry. Hopefully this will fix itself if we wait for a patch from them.

As a longtime fan of The Specialists, how does the core gameplay compare? I would love to see the king return on source, BKs, M82, RP and all.

Mmmm I'd say it is a bit different but still about the same fast gameplay. We don't have any game breaker weapons, one shot kills and such are out of the question. We are keeping it as fair we can and everyone has a fighting chance noobs and pros alike. There is a possible future addon to the mod for RP as well. Anyhow go ahead and try it out I'm sure you'll dig it since being a fan of TS, all the more reason to love DA.

I just got done playing my first session and am very impressed with the game, however not with some of the players. Apparently I'm a "Pussy ******" because i used the shotgun and was kicked from one of the servers(well the only server that had players in it). This is to be expected in almost every game but its disappointing that just because you're winning people feel the need to kick you and act like a bunch of unintelligent Apes.

Man I'm sorry you had such a poor experience. If you play during our official playtest times (Saturday afternoons) things are generally much nicer (the devs are around) or you can always play with the bots.
