Version 0.52.21055 Update


Earlier this week I gave word to the team to finish up current mod tweaks this week. After they're done we'll hand that release over to the testing department and they'll try to break it for us. You should expect this sometime late next week. I'll post the full changelog below, but I'll cover some of the biggest changes to the mod right now:

  • The Orion is much closer now to the Covie-killing capital we imagined. It also now has an ability that allows it to fire more rapidly at a lower dps, for participating in smaller engagements (designed for killing frigates instead of capitals).
  • All of the ships that are derived from re-purposing the Phoenix colony ship have the new updated models. New fighter models are included as well.
  • Flood homeworlds are much harder to take now. Only turn on Flood/Pirates in your matches if you're up for the challenge. Flood are in no way done, but they're much closer now to being finished.
  • New shipyard factories.
  • We've changed wormholes into Forerunner portals, enjoy the view from inside the structure!
  • Strikecraft have been nerfed. Squadrons have been reduced in size, while individual craft have been buffed. Carrier-spam is less effective now.

The UNSC Fleet is done, but we still have several building to put in. This won't be the last update you see before the Covenant come out, I assure you.

We've had some issues with our forums and we're trying to fix that now. Basically, email validation failed to do it's job. For the time being we've turned off email validation while we hook up to a dedicated email server.
