Here's a quick video of the new suspension I'm implementing, You'll notice that the car's suspension arms now travel when the wheel moves up and down over bumps. (Also note the spring is compressing when it's supporting arm is getting shorter)
It's still a little "prototypey" at the moment, (hence why I've only implemented it on the right hand side of the vehicle yet) - but you get to see a nice before and after. Also note that the video is playing in slow motion - just so you can see the effect I'm working on. And that's about it! - Still thinking about the active aero trim, as it seems that it didn't go down that well, (but it honestly improves the gameplay) - what to do.. what to do!! :)
I've also noticed that I need to work on the car model a bit, as there's some "single sided" poly faces there that you can see the sky through when really you shouldn't. - I'll fix that tomorrow I guess... Plus I imagine the steering rack is going to be a nightmare to add suspension to! - looking forward to that too... (not)
Ive been following this for awhile and Im quite impressed with what you've been able to do with unity physics engine. Great job.
looks really VERY realistic!!
great work!

This looks like an RC-car I used to own as a kid. I like the stockcar design :)
Yeah, suspension is looking good, too. I'm a big fan of Initial D and always hoped someone would come up with a racing game that is accurate enough to let you recreate some of their driving styles. Good job.
