The main problem of this was because we where doing it part by part so to continue we needed the last modder who made modification to post his beta to continue.
We solved that problem.
DaFranker made us a SVN (???).That's a kind of collective in wich we put all the files. This process will make things go faster.
A lot.
It's not opperable yet but once the deco is finished things will roll. The 1.0 will come faster and guess what : it also made new things possible.
So news for the next version:
-New missile design
-Some ships more detailed
-New ships
-A better work in equilibration of ship/race

SVN is sort of a "must-have" for projects that involve more than a few people. actually even a single developer can benefit from it.
You can say that again. Then repeat it. Then write it down and photocopy it and post it on all bulletin boards in your home town just for good measure. Hell, I was pretty surprised to learn they had considered the option, but hadn't actually gotten around to using one yet.
I had already been using a personal SVN to work on the translation by myself, so the point about it being useful even for single-man crews is very much valid.
Plans are to finish the initial commit this "evening" (hell, most of them are in France, so this evening should theoretically be right about now, but I don't know what Frenchies mean by "evening" anyways, so I'm blind here), so we can start working for real by tomorrow. Well, that was the plan, at least. Furlings is probably still waiting on Slimbox to show up, though ;)

I don't think you're slow. I always thought you're too fast:) Look at Stargate: War Begins. Now we're SLOW:) i think we've been at it for a year and a half now, and we're still at v0.68. My advice to you is that don't rush things. If they need time, then give it time, the mod, and on the long term the fans will benefit from it:) Good luck!

The download was made unavailable from ModDB for various reasons, but you can probably get a copy of the latest public release on the forums.
Things are now underway as pertains to the SVN, and as far as I know there's already at least one person hard at work that would otherwise still be waiting for slimbox to finish his changes before starting. This means the mod is already being developed twice as fast as it was before, and this is only going to improve from now on. Actually getting the thing on the SVN server was sort of a pain in the ***, though.
