Silverbow:
ResourceCollector has finished to model the Silverbow ( with a full set of modules, wings and fins ); while Juan has finished the texture for it. We are very happy with the result, especially with the latest ASEToBin shaders. We are very thankful to have dedicated and skilled contributors in our community.
Rain effect:
Space rain ! Nah, kidding. InfinityAdmin implemented a rain ( or more exactly, droplet ) effect in ASEToBin. The rain effect is an application of a distortion effect he implemented this week.
On the Silverbow, here's a typical result after all the effects are applied:
Of course the rain effect is much nicer in motion so we’ve uploaded a short video showing off the Silverbow in all its glory and of course the rain effect that has been implemented. Get it here!(23.2MB)
Want to know more about this: check out the latest development update on the infinity forums.
For rain :P
Neat, but what are you going to use the rain effect for?
Raid effect looks absolutely mad. Is it possible for you guys to get textures like on that ship procedurally, later down the track?
No, all textures will be hand-made, you can never get the same quality with procedural textures.
Whatever the weather, this looks awesome!
Oh to make clear, we won't have rain IN space, this is just to show of the effect in the AseToBin viewer ;)
It might be VERY useful to add realism when entering a misty planet or anything of that sort, or if there are water machines that as they come out of the water, that effect is on for a sec until it dries, if its possible to make a dryable effect.
Why not make it rain on planets?..... it would be really cool to have this effect then. :D
one f*cking word: awsome!
photoshop?
just kidding
