300 ABY: Rise and Fall of the Fel Empire:

The Second Galactic Empire, before the formation of the Fel Empire, covered the entirety of the Galaxy, and controlled the lives of every man, woman and child under it with an Iron Fist. The only sector outside their grasp was Mandalore, home to the Mandalorians, a people who's culture was based on War and Honor. They, however, were too busy fighting among themselves to be of any threat to the Empire.

The Sith Order ruled the Empire, and the Dark Lord, and thus Emperor, Kairn, ruled the Sith Order. He had defeated the previous Emperor, Cronus, in a duel. But he made a fatal mistake. He let Cronus live.

Cronus soon used his many contacts and his vast influence to prepare the creation of a rival Empire, one he would rule over, one he hoped would destroy the Empire from the inside. The Empire was protected by the Stormtrooper Corps, in which men and women signed up to be trained as Stormtroopers. However, the elite troops, the best of the best, were the Clone Legions. Cronus was hoping he could take control of the Clone Legions, and ravage the Empire in a devastating Civil War that would eradicate the Imperials from the Galaxy.

But it didn't work. Many of the Clone Legions swore allegiance to Kairn, and few joined Cronus' cause. Realizing his judgement had been wrong, he withdrew to the North, to Bastion, and ordered all troops and ships loyal to him to withdraw with him. He pushed the Imperials out of the Bastion, Agamar, Mygeeto, Telos, Bonadon and Mon Calamari sectors, and he prepared to dig down and prepare for the inevitable Imperial retaliation.

Luckily for Cronus, the Empire did not attack immediately. The Mandalorians had been plunged into a Civil War, though no one really knew why. Rumors spread of reforms, of a Shocktrooper Codex, of loyalists and rebels. The Empire cared not for such trivial matters. They saw an opportunity, a people divided, and leaped on it.

The Battle itself was short, but bloody. The Empire brought up the Fourth Fleet and quickly rushed into action. The fleet suffered 50% casualties, but most of the Mandalorian military was wiped out, barely having time to coordinate when the Empire struck. The Clan Leaders, knowing that should they fail, Mandalore would be lost forever, bade their time. They would strike as the Empire struck, and would wait for the opportune moment.

When the Empire finally began to mobilize their forces, the Fel Empire had officially been declared, and had been gathering a lot of popular support. Cronus named the faction in honor of the previous Fel Empire, which also stood against the Sith, and rumors had it that Cronus' top lieutenant was a descendant of the Fel line... Talk of it spread throughout the Empire, and this helped in the formation of a group called the Resistance, lead by members of the former Jedi Order, the most notable and de facto leader being the Jedi Master Fai, a former Council Member.

The Resistance supported the Fel Empire by disrupting military convoys in the South that were transporting troops to the North, using the Bothan's Intelligence Network to gather vital information and use it to hamper Imperial movement. They also recruited many among those who wanted to fight, and eventually grew bolder and bolder, raiding military shipyards and bases, hacking into the Holonet to denounce the Empire for what it really was.

The Imperial Council wanted the Resistance to be wiped out, and requested that a fleet be moved from the front lines to deal with them. But Kairn was single minded, full of hatred for his age old foe. He threw everything the Empire had to offer at the Fel Empire. People thought him mad, but still he won. Telos, Agamar, Mygeeto, they all fell very quickly to the Imperial enslaught. Mon Calamari followed, with Kairn personally overseeing its defeat. Bonadon, however, resisted with admirable determination. The Siege of Bonadon is still famous ten years later, and is chosen by many military academies as a perfect example of a prolonged plantery siege.

The only real Fel stronghold left intact was Bastion. The planets surrounding Bastion had all be subjugated by the Empire, and used as forward positions to prepare the assault. Cronus had ordered the First Fel Fleet, and a portion of his remaining military forces, to go to a secret Fel base and continue the fight after his death, unknown to all but the highest ranking officials in the Fel Empire. The Empire committed three fleets to the battle, and over 15 million Stormtroopers and 100 Clone Legions. The Fel Empire knew they had no chance at victory, and so did Cronus. So Cronus knew that he must kill Kairn, less his defiance be for nothing.

Cronus gathered all remaining Imperial Knights on Bastion, and chose the best Clone Soldiers at his disposition, and struck at the Imperial Super Star Destroy, Kairn's flagship. Many men were lost getting to the Star Destroyer, more lost inside. But finally, Cronus emerged on the bridge, tired and battered. Kairn ordered all men off the bridge, and after the pleasantries were disposed of, an intense duel began. Sith versus Jedi. The duo had locked horns since they became major Galactic figures, and it culminated into this.

But no winner came out of that duel. Cronus managed to mortally wound Kairn, but Kairn returned the favor and Cronus died minutes later. The Empire won Bastion, and the War, but lost their Emperor...

303 ABY: Decline of the Empire:

The Empire may have won the Civil War, but at a great cost. Their Emperor was dead, and their economy was close to ruins. Many major companies soon went bankrupt and had to let go of most of their wealth and influence. Others, such as Auricom, were forced to break their companies up, due to the instability and political problems. Riots became more and more frequent, and the Resistance grew in numbers each day. But they hadn't managed to incite a full scale revolt. No, they would have to wait for the Mandalorians to do that.

The Mandalorian Uprising is considered the Empire's most humiliating and devastating defeat. Kairn had previously left 2 full legions of the Empire's finest, knowing that sooner or later the Mandalorians would rise up. He hoped the feared Clone Legions would be enough to crush the Mandalorians. He was wrong.

Three years had passed since the Mandalorian defeat. Three years, the Clans prepared their strike. Everything was planned out, from the time to strike to who should be eliminated first. The night before, a Mandalorian known as Jor'ikan was named Mandalore, and would lead his people to victory, and deal with the inevitable Imperial attack afterwards.

The plan was executed perfectly. The two legions, as well as the entire Stormtrooper garrison, were slaughtered in an orgy of fighting and blood that lasted only a short day. The Empire then sent one of their famed fleets to do battle with them, but Mandalore, now given the title "Liberator" by his people, fended off the Imperial fleet using ships from the old Mandalorian military, stolen Imperial ships, any ship he could get his hands on. He himself lead the Basilisk charge onto the enemy Flagship, and he stormed it's bridge and killed the Imperial Admiral, and held out against much of the ship's garrison. The Fleet was left without a leader, and fell into chaos as the Mandalorian fleet charged into close quarters. Many of the Imperials panicked, not use to being on the losing side. Their arrogance was their downfall, and the Mandalorians emerged victorious.

Mandalore the Liberator was buried in the Valley of Immortals, on the moon of Dxun, and the Imperials signed the Treaty of Keldabe, which forced the Empire to recognize Mandalorian Independence and their right to be a free people.

This act allowed the Resistance to urge the Southern Sectors into a full scale Revolution, commonly referred to as the "Southern Revolt", an event that saw the Bespin, Malastare, Kinyen, Eriadu, Sluis Van and Utapau sectors rise up and shake themselves free from the Imperial chains. Many planets formed their own, temporary governments, but soon Jedi Master Fai held the Summit of Seswenna, in the Seswenna Hall on Eriadu. The summit saw the creation of the Galactic Federation of Free People, also simply called the Federation. All sectors apart from the Kinyen Sector agreed to be apart of its Senate, which would be held in the Seswenna Hall. Master Fai was chosen as temporary Chancellor, and the Resistance became the Federation Military, most of its leaders and commanders becoming high ranking officials in it and creating a standard military fit for it.

The Empire, realizing that the Core Worlds were under threat, withdrew their forces from the Galaxy to the Core. Most of the other sectors thus created their own independent governments, with their own navies and armies. The Mon Calamari sector agreed to become apart of the Federation, and gave the Federation the chance to develop their navy. The newly formed Chiss Confederacy signed a mutual defense, a trade and a technological treaty with the Federation, though had no wish to become a part of its Senate, and so retained much of its independence.

In the East, the Hutt Cartel regained much of its influence. The Nal Hutta Sector fell under its complete control, and most of the surrounding sectors soon followed as the Hutts expanded their influence. Although not an official faction per se, anyone who tries taking the sectors under its influence shall have a very hard time holding them...

The internal politics of the Empire after Kairn's death were typical and predictable of a faction run mainly by the Sith. After much debate, and some very sad accidents, the Grand Moff Tarl eventually wrestled power and proclaimed himself Emperor. He had managed to sway many of the others Moffs to his cause, and were any of the Sith to try a coup another Civil War could break out between the Imperials and Stormtrooper Corps and the Sith and their Clone Legions. Knowing this, the Sith proposed a treaty. The Empire would fund all projects the Sith desired, and would build and supply their bases, and in return the Sith would allow the Empire to keep most of their Clone Legions. Emperor Tarl agreed to this, and the Sith Order left Coruscant and have not been seen since. Some still work for the Empire, given permission by the newly proclaimed Dark Lord Yoran, but most stay in whatever stronghold the Sith have made for themselves.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, the New Jedi Order was formed by Jedi Master Fai to support and protect the Federation. After the Federation stabilized, Fai gave up his position as Chancellor, and over the past few years many have taken his place. The current Chancellor has been in office for longer than any other, voted in in 209 ABY, and is called Voren Tarkin. The Tarkins were the most powerful family on Eriadu, and the most well connected, and Voren in particular was a great and inspiring leader, just what the Federation needed.

And so began the Galactic Cold War...

303-313 ABY: Galactic Cold War:

The Galactic Cold War wasn't really a Cold War. The Federation and Empire were in a state of War, but both factions were reluctant to engage in any sort of full scale battles, deciding to wage a political war instead. Both factions tired their best to persuade the many neutral governments to join their cause. The Federation managed to recruit the Endor Sector, and gained much popular support in the Bothawui and Kamino Sectors. The Empire made rapid progress, regaining control of the Bilbringi, Corsin, Mimban, Allanteen and Mechis sectors, all of which had mostly Imperialistic governments in the first place.

Both factions new the fragile state they were in. All it would take is for one side to destroy a fleet, gain a shipyard, persuade a company, and they would have the advantage.

The Mandalorians remained mostly neutral, not wanting to participate in Galactic affairs anytime soon, preferring to rebuild their sectors in peace. The Hutts employed mercenaries, bounty hunters and muscle to try and keep both factions in a state of War, which would bring lots of profit to them. They sold mercenaries to both sides, growing rich and fat as they made more and more money.

The Sith's numbers grow as the Empire sends more and more Force Sensitives to them. They plot, betray and grow in power as they wait for their time to rise again. Many of them wish to rejoin the Empire fully. Some want to return to the old days when the Sith Empire was a name whispered in fear. Fewer still couldn't care less, and just want to grow in power or kill as many people as they want.

What of their eternal foes, the Jedi? Their numbers also grow, as does their influence. Jedi Master Fai died of old age in 308 ABY, and now Mary Ranach has been named Grandmaster of the Order. Her advice is vital to the Federation, and they value both her and her Order.

Many notable crisis' broke out. Some, such as the Falleen Crisis, lasted only for a few months. Others, such as the Kinyen Crisis, go on to this day. Who knows what the future has in store?

Present day: A new Era begins...

The Empire and Federation are growing in power. Both are preparing to strike at the other, but still some are cautious. The Kinyen Crisis has yet to see an end, and both Imperial and Federation troops have been deployed in the sector, awaiting the orders to attack. Rumors of the Mon Calamari King have been circulating, saying that many of the Mon Calamari are being oppressed by his brutal dictatorship, and that relations with the Federation have taken a turn for the worse. The Empire has seen this opportunity, and are negotiating with the King at this very moment. Many of the Mon Calamari people are begging the Federation to help them, though the Senate has yet to decide what to do on the matter...

On Onderon, another dictator has arose. The people are calling for aid as unknown forces at work are corrupting the Onderonian society. The Mandalorians have heard this plea, but have yet to react to it...

On Ruusan, talk of mysterious robed figures asking about strange power sources have come to the attention of the Jedi Order. Fearing that the Sith may discover the Valley of the Jedi, the Jedi Order is deciding what should be done, and if members of the Order should be sent to help the people of Ruusan, or if they should support the Federation in their time of need.

Opportunities are everywhere. Heroes rise and fall, villains plot and kill. Innocents live in fear of the destruction of their homes and families. For now is the time in which War shall break out, and everyone knows it. Sooner or later, the beast shall be set loose from its cage and there shall be hell to pay...

Trip to the Past: Events between 300 and 313 ABY:

The Kinyen Crisis:

The Kinyen Crisis started when the Empire sent an army down onto Kinyen, quickly taking its capital city and imposing Imperial Law and Order onto the inhabitants. The Federation responded to the Kinyen's Prime Minister's plea for help, and sent their troops to Kriselist and Chalcedon, rejoining the exiled Kinyen Government and its remaining military forces. Most on those two planets supported the Federation, and were glad of their arrival.

The Imperials quickly sent their forces to secure Bomis Koori and Noe'ha'on, protecting Kinyen from Federation attack. In response, the Federation sent forces to Qat Chrystac, and tried to move on Nikillon but were too late, as the Imperials had already secured the planet. Now the Sector stands divided, as both factions wait for the orders to take the fight to the enemy. Who will attack first?

The Kinyen Prime Minister fears that if the Empire wins, their propaganda will make his people their slaves. However, he also fears that if the Federation wins, they may keep control of the sector, under the pretense of "protection". Many people in the Kinyen sector are also divided, not wanting the Empire to stay in control but also not wanting the Federation to stay afterwards. Will the Empire defeat the Kinyen Goverment and their Federationa allies? Will the Federation liberate the Kinyen sector, only to replace the Empire afterwards? Only time will tell...

NOTE: This is a very basic version of events. Details on particular events shall be listed here if people wish them to be expanded upon (Siege of Bonadon, Uprising of Mandalore ect.). If you wish to write about these events, or if you wish to add specific information about the period of "Galactic Cold War", then please PM Ten10dix and the current GM so that your additions may be approved and added.

The Lore shall hopefully be kept up to date, and major events written here to keep track of the RP and its timeline.

The timeline is an estimate. If the community wish it to be made earlier or later, then it shall be edited.

Lore written by Ten10dix

Major Events

These will effect the galaxy greatly and are meant to reignite the war between the Federation and Empire. For most part both sides should be able to participate in one way or another.

Decay
The world of Alzoc has fallen still and no traveller dares to venture there to uncover the mystery. It is up to the Federation and the Jedi Order to investigate.

Genesis of the Dead
The events of Alzoc have sparked a crisis in the Federation.

Devoured
The people of Ord Mantell are being rapidly exterminated by a powerful and virulent plague. With no one else to turn to they call upon the Empire to help cure their people.

Reign of Terror
The events of Ord Mantell have sparked a crisis in the Empire.

All Quiet on the Horizon
The entire sector of Bakura has collapsed. Panicked refugees claim an enormous invasion force has begun an assault on the populations of the sector with thousands dead and many more captured. Faced with such adversity it is up to the Empire and the Federation to stop this unknown threat from spreading.

Night of Eternal Darkness
The Bastion sector has been cut off and any vessel sent into it have not returned. No refugees, no rumours and only speculation abound. The Empire and the Federation will need to investigate for possible threats.

Purge of the Wicked
Even among the Sith there are heretics. No one can be trusted, no one is above suspicion and no one will be the subject of mercy.

Shattering Schism
Restless with the inaction of the Order several Knights and even a few Masters have fled Eriadu and left the Jedi Order in order to found a secret coven dedicated to fighting evil wherever it is found but are they themselves as pure-hearted as they seem to be?

???
We were blind.

Minor Events

These have little effect on the galaxy as a whole but may contribute to making your faction or character more powerful although a rewarding outcome is not always guaranteed.

The Infinite Starlight
Kinyen; archeologists have reported the discovery of an ancient temple of sorts but shortly thereafter all contact with the archeological teams seem to have ceased. Kinyen has sent agents to investigate but none have returned. With little options remaining they turn to the galaxy to solve this mystery.

Skinned Alive
Yavin; a group of adventurers report that several Massassi tribes of Yavin seem to have gone missing. They speculate the Massassi have retreated deep within their temple. Upon inspecting the temples only screams of terror could be heard which discouraged them from delving further into the temple complex.

The Dragon Fang
Gand; worrying reports from the Hutt Cartel state that the insectoids of Gand are constructing something massive for their Hutt overlords. Codenamed the Dragon Fang by all indications it seems to be a Dreadnought the likes of which the galaxy has never seen before. The Cartel seems hell bent on war.

Swordbreaker
Byss; recently an emergency homing beacon has been activated around what used to be Byss. Strangely enough the broadcast seems to belong to a warship that was part of the fleet that went missing long ago. If the fleet is there it may change the stalemate dramatically.

Metropolis
Manaan; the Selkath of Ahto have noted odd seismic activity and great gatherings of Firaxa shark in towards an area. In addition the Firaxa have been unusually passive to those not impeding their trek or moving too closely to the epicenter. They seem to be guarding something.

Twilight of the Builders
Tython; the ancient birthplace of the Force seems to have calmed itself and the pathway is now once more open. But something is amiss. The once serene planet seems devoid of activity safe for an unusual concentration of energy and life around a large complex.

Abyss of Life
Felucia; the local population of Acklay seems to be changing at a rapid pace into something even more monstrous which unnerves the local settlers. Rumours arise of herds of Acklays herding people towards their lairs for unknown purposes.

Adrift
Ruusan; a lone Star Destroyer has been spotted. It seems to have sustained heavy battle damage and is adrift. Attempts to contact it have been met with silence. The government of Ruusan considers it a waste of time to investigate and has decreed that anyone who wishes to board the vessel may do so.

The Demon World
Utapau; the natives report strange rumblings within the deepest depths of their borehole cities. Enormous shadows, earthquakes and rumours of goliaths spread fear among the population.

The Legendary Soldier
Rattatak; the arenas of the world are empty for one lowly Colosseum draws all the attention. An unknown warrior of the blade has entered, fought and won battle after battle without pause for the past several weeks.

As with all that I do; these evens are purely optional and in no way enforced. You may vote on which to keep and which to dismiss even when I launch it but once it begins and the participants have gathered there is no turning back.

The events after the "A new Era begins" are if you all want them, and if the GM agrees. I made them so that each faction would have an event (sometime multiple) to participate in when the RP starts, so that we could get things going quickly.

I've also done them in such a way that we don't have to jump into them immediately, so that we can soak up the new systems and such beforehand.

Finally I get to see the full lore. You and Ori finally agreed on the Mandalorians part? xD

Just a small hole in the lore; there are no correlation between Cronus and the name Fel. Other than an old friendship that nobody remembers. Some short explanation may be needed for it to make sense.

Lol. Apparently me calling it an Uprising made a lot of difference xD.

I'll just add that it was in honor of the Fels who did the same a hundred or so years ago?

I'd like to add that Auricom didn't really go bankrupt in a sense, but rather that economic instability and political backlash forced Praxis and the other founders/majority stockholders to break up the company. Since it did become rather large and nearly monopolized several sectors of industry very quickly in somewhat illegitimate ways, it would make sense that people would get suspicious and scandals could arise. On top of that the ongoing war was putting a strain on the economy as a whole and a lot of Auricoms assets and subsidiaries were quickly dropping in value. So it was decided to downsize Auricom and let the free market do its thing (at least where it still exists in the Galaxy). You don't have type all that, but just replace "bankrupt" with what I mentioned in the first line of this paragraph.

Edited that bit.

And thanks guys. Originally it was longer, with more details, but I thought to myself "No need to explain every single event, just focus on the important things" so I made it much more simple.

Feel free to add to it. You in particular, Fenris, like to write about RP events so feel free to add them as they come. Just inform me and the GM. I'll try to add to it, but then again I may not. xD.

Looks good, but how does this affect the history if our PCs? I was under the impression that we were forwarding ten years from where we are right now. Are we still doing that, or are we completely rewriting history?

I'm not really a fan of the mandalorian part, besides it completely ignores stuff.
like you could've easily put adenn in it as some sort of dictator, since he didn't really listened/cared to ori or NG.
THe mando story of the liberator killing 400 000 troops is a bit.. stupid, since we never managed to pull that of in the rp, so why make it lore?

Some events, such as a republic fleet defeating a sith armada and destroying the Star Force, and very improbable but still happen.

A real life battle, such as the Battle of Assaye in which a small British army of around 6,000 men, an 24 cannon defeated an army of 100,000 Indians and 100 cannon, was very improbable. Wellesley, who lead the British army, used superior tactics and had men with superior morale and training and smashed the army, which actually lead many of the Indians princes to fear the British and I believe a few even allied with them.

So I'm adding the Mandalorian Uprising to that. As I explained to Ori many times over, the Uprising is vital to Galactic History as it leads to the creation of the Federation and the falling out with the Sith Order.

So like it or not, please accept it. I've left most of the Mandalorian bits pretty open, because me and Ori disagree with a lot of stuff, but that part is the only part needed for the lore to work and function properly.

Besides, Ewoks managed to destroy a legion of the Emperor's finest, and they're just fluffy bears... xD.

AK: That is up to you, I'm afraid. PCs aren't written in, apart from a few exceptions (and even that is only my PCs and HH's Cronus) to avoid disagreements and allow you complete liberty in deciding what happens to your chars.

As for the history, we are completely rewriting it as you can see. We can still integrate events such as the duel of Zonama Sekot into the lore pretty easily, and any other events that are needed to explain what happens with your chars.

Nah it's just that i'm against giving credit to a faction like that. It's much more fun to create your own lore by doing it. Why not create a revolution event for example? though then the mandos couldn't really lose so that's not exactly exciting.

I can see where you are coming from W, earned renown is much more rewarding than made up renown.

However, we need an agreed upon timeline. Unless we want to argue for days about the real events for the past few months and in the process alienating each other, this is the best way.

Like I said, this lore does not explain anything in real detail. It sets the bases for everything, explaining what happened but leaving much of it open.

I left the Mandalorians more open than the others because you guys are really hard to work with, and me and Ori agreed on pretty much nothing. So part of me just couldn't be bothered arguing and instead I set down the absolute minimum for them, and left the rest up to you guys.

I meant that one minute you agreed with what I wrote down, the next you were like "Nope, not accurate", the next you wanted this changed, then that ect.

It was rather frustrating...

You fleshed nothing out. You created characters. I see no details on the Uprising, nor the Mandalorian Civil War that preceded the Imperial attack, nor anything on said attack.

So I don't see how you fleshed any of the events out, apart from creating a character or two. I could write about them with more detail, and I would. You seem to think I know nothing of the Mandalorians, yet your only problem was with my calling it a "Revolution", and the fact that Mandalorians didn't all jump out at the Empire immediately to be massacred.

The former is just stupid, whether you call it an Uprising or a Revolution, it means pretty much the same thing. The latter is where you confuse me. Mandalorians are supposed to be masters at warfare, yet you stated that they'd all fight the Empire (and when I say all I mean the entire population) as they attacked, which would of gotten them all slaughtered.

You may correct me if I'm wrong, but I would think it more logical if the Clans told everyone to wait for a more opportune moment, biding their time until the Empire lets their guard down.

The only other problem was the 20 Legions, which was edited and corrected.

So sorry for my "limitations", I would of written more into the Mandalorian lore except I obviously know nil about them >.<

We never agreed until it was proposed to use the Codex as an excuse to start a civil war and thus have the Empire conquer the planet Mandalore, the only way to get us both a bit happy.

After that I never asked for another change, is it my fault that you misread my comment in which I simply asked for you to point out a simply name error?

I fleshed it out, you wrote Mandalorian Civil War and Uprising, I added battles to it and casualties.

I never said you know nothing about Mandalorians. Calling it a revolution was not a problem, it was a joke that escalated, though I also did not like the name. Why does it matter so much to you?

It would not have gotten them all slaughtered.

20 Legions or 2, I don't care much about it.

Apology accepted but stop putting words in my mouth or taking my words out of context, you are making a elephant out of a fly right now.
