I've hinted at it on a number of occasions, but I can tell you now that I'll definitely be remaking The Stanley Parable. Of course you may have noticed that my mapping skills are less than amazing, so I'm recruiting people with an actual game design skillset. Consider applying if you're capable at any of the following:
-Level design and mapping (on any engine, not just Source)
-Sound design
-Modeling
-In-game animation
-Translation

Sad this is going commercial, but this is understandable and hopefully will push the quality of the game higher. Also, I am curious as to why you are not recruiting any coders?
I have a few coders already interested, and will bring on more as necessary. And trust me, this is not going as commercial as you think it is.

You Don't need to remake it, I think it's perfect.
I must say that I am a bit on the lazy side before jumping into this. As for how long my experience has been, I can't really count the hours. I started when I was 13 and first got into Halo: Custom Edition with 3D Modeling (Autodesk 3ds Max). Since you could directly imported a model (sealed mesh of course) as a level, I fell in love with this and experimented for the longest time. I'd say 2 years on and off with the modeling. However, I haven't really gotten into making my own textures for any of my models. I've also hosted and created maps for a Garrysmod server under a gamemode which isn't so interesting (GJail). I changed the gamemode around a lot and pretty much made my own version. I always wanted to make my own beautiful map, I got really far most of the time then just got tired or bored and gave up (Note the "lazy side" comment above). After that I started playing around with the Unreal Development Kit (2011), but never got too into it as I grew tired of attempting to learn UnrealScript. Although, I did make a couple nice test levels.
I might have left a few things out, but I think the above information should suffice as a means of understanding my experience. Also note that the Halo: Custom Edition 'phase' was roughly 6 years ago.

I don't see why you would remake it, it is already quite perfect.
This is a really epic mod. I wished that there were more mods or games that were made like this.
I'm glad that you understand that epic level design or graphics doesn't make a game success. Story IS the most important part of a any video game.

You should totally get together with Shadgrimgrvy, the guy who made the Paranoia and Insomnia maps. I bet together you guys could really come up with an amazing mod.
