I don't have half life 2 ep 1, I've dl'ed stanley parable on desura and everytime with every dl link for ir, it says stanley parable is not valid, cannot be launched, HELP? please I just want to play this game

I LOVED the Stanley Parable.Great game full of wonderfully dry humor and 4th wall references..I loved the way you played with reality and parodied linear gaming conventions.May I ask who does the voice acting? Because the narrator does such a great job of being both poetic and snarky in turn,they really do deserve an on-screen credit.If it's you,you're a man of many talents.:-)Thanks so much for an intelligent,witty experience.
Stanley Parable doesn't work, I've downloaded it and installed it and I clicked launch but nothing happens :(
