If you play this mod, watch out because it might VAC ban you. Make sure that you do not connect to any VAC secured HL1 servers with the customized Opengl32.dll installed.

Don't you love old games? I remember a time when downloading a 60mb demo of Ghost Recon or some other game was an exciting prospect.
Your forgetting that this is an Half Life 1 mod, so in fact the size of this file is rather hefty & one of the biggest I've seen for a Half Life 1 mod. You have to remember that the original Half Life 1 game was only about 500MB install.

so many video issues with this. i can only run in software mode so everything looks like crap. i get video lag at certain parts and this is a hl1 mod so this shouldnt be happening. also wheres the weapons bar i have no idea what im switching to. also the bar for the gas mask and ballistic mask are not working.
The Mod goes into the Steam folder right? I wanna get it right so I can play, it looks so awesome!

From what I've played so far, this mod is amazing. There's so much detail for a HL1 mod, like birds & rats & loads of detailed prefabs, I like the bit where the guy treads in dog crap, very funny.
This dosn't look like a HL1 mod at all. Well done to all concerned, & I hope you win a MOTY award.

Well, before I say anything, congratulations for this hopefully amazing mod I am in the middle of downloading. Hopefully this mod wasn't thrown out before completion just because of the 2007 MOTY thing, but I seriously doubt that it was. Never mind about the downloading, I am now installing. Yay. Can't wait to play. Anyway.. I read about not having HL and also about it not being in the steam game list. 1) you belted through the installer without even looking, and installed to the wrong directory, 2) You didn't restart Steam. And 3) Buy Halflife. It's only 5-10 dollars.

Congrats to the release. I just reinstalled my good old Half-Life and the Mod works great. I have some minor grafic bugs like some not working alpha channels on plants but you've done a great job so far. I just started with the military base level but You've put so much into detail. It's amazing, the whole place is living. One of my favorites for MotY 2007 awards!

Probably your version of Half-Life is too old (WON). I recommend you to get the STEAM version, because the mod was developed and tested on it.
As good as this mod is, i'm not going out to re_buy the game ( steam version ), just so the mod will play better.
Also my version of Half Life isn't that old, as it was the Half Life generation pack which also included Opposing Force, Counter Strike & Blue Shift, but still it is a non steam version.
Download steam, and register you HL copy with the CD key.
That should auto-update HL.

WOW This mod is AMAZING!! I just beat it, the mod took me about 5 hours to beat on medium difficultly and I must say the graphics, gameplay and story are superb. Paranoia is by far the best single player mod I have ever played period.
