Grey watchers and mod players alike we are pleased to announce our next project we've been working on - Derayenic.
Derayenic is a cooperative objective-based survival game where up to 4 players will take on timed survival scenarios ranging from the streets of Hungary to forests and snowy mountains.
We have been taking feedback and lessons we've learned from Grey over the past years and are attempting to improve in every way we can. If you'd like to read more about the game or help support it head on over to our Greenlight page and vote for us or find more information on our website over at Derayenic.com!
Now what does this mean for Grey? We will still update Grey in the case of Source engine updates breaking it (as we have done in the past) and we will still provide technical help for Grey troubles on our forums and our Moddb page (as well as the occasional email we get). In terms of content updates; they are unlikely to happen. We will support mappers providing free maps for use in Grey though.
Happy surviving!
i approve, especially cause i played the alpha
How can i play the alpha?
Well, can't say I expected something original, but looks like at least the execution of the idea pays the dues.
No indiedb page ?
We recently created one. You can find it over at: www.indiedb.com/games/derayenic
what engine is this?
Unreal
Is source, from half life 2 and counter strike.
ooooh =D
Does look great, very impressive.
Although i have to be honest and say that i am very tired on games like this.
We have seen it many times before, with zombies, monsters. Zombies and monsters,
you get the picture. So, what i try to say is that it will be very hard to get a market share with this game, because there is already a lot of competition.
That said, like DrRhubarb already said;
"....looks like at least the execution of the idea pays the dues."

So.... do you want games with humans?I can point you in the right direction:

ah a survival game now instead of another sequel to the mistake trilogy.
Trilogy? There are two.
no three, grey is a sequel to mistake
play the trilogy in this order: pre mistake,-> mistake,-> grey.
Reminds me of Killing Floor.
Seems a bit too much like KF to me.
Voted!
WOW! Good game, guys. I mean, sure a zombie survival game is a bit unoriginal, but since you guys seem to have your own unique gameplay style, it works!
all the best too you guys! and congrats! looks amazing already. :)
love the "locked" graphic design for the unlockables...
at 1:23 is that a SUZUKI SWIFT from the 90's era? PLEASE SAY YES... was my first car and before that the car from my mom, that i crashed. ;D
edit: faved and followed your greenlight profile. :)
Looks pretty, but boring :\
PS: Is it just me or weapons looks way too big?
It's look interesting, but for me is too colorful/bright like for horror, think Grey/Killing Floor Mod graphic style will be fit more like for me.
"too colorful/bright"
Well, let me be the first to welcome you to the Unreal Engine 3!
We got the worst ways to make your eyes figuratively or even literally bleed, by giving you a lot of bloom, a lot of post processing and of course, COLORS! We in the Unreal Engine (Epic) company LOVE mushrooms and LSD. What about you?
No Unreal engine is fine it is entirely down to how you light the game up and what lighting you use please don't just immediately blame the nature of a level on the game engine used i hate it when people blame game engines even though Unreal Engine is used on plenty of Horror titles for moody lighting see Routine for instance.

Influenced by Drowning Pool much?
This looks amazing! Keep up the good work!
Though i must say that i do have a concern. Mods like, contagion, No More Room in Hell. That have large hordes of enemies, often lag the servers and raise ping. Whenever there is a large number of enemies, The ping rises and things start to lag. Normally something like that shouldn't raise ping, but it does.
