PC Gamer has been showing No More Room in Hell a lot of love recently. This past week has been filled with excitement for us. Just in case you don't follow our twitter or facebook page here is a recap of what has gone on this past week!
"Mod of the Year:
No More Room in Hell
Derived from the classic, shuffling-zombie template of the George Romero movies, No More Room in Hell feels uniquely more like a horror game than an FPS. Every bullet matters, and you can’t hold a flashlight and a weapon at the same time (other than your pistol), so illuminating a zombie with your Maglite while a teammate applies his sledge-hammer is typical of the game’s excruciatingly tense, realistic teamwork."
- Mention on the PC Gamer Podcast (Mention at ~42 minute mark)
A few of the editors at PC Gamer recall their initial experience playing No More Room in Hell. They tell a tale of their adventures and of their choices when confronted with tough decisions. Also they some nice things about the mod and give their first impressions.
Fighting for their lives against the seemingly endless hoards of living dead a few brave writers and editors test their luck and leave the confines of their shelter in the attempt at contacting the national guard. All the while streaming a live audience who can only watch in shock and awe.
- Article in PC Gamer Magazine:
Well we didn't want to post the entire article since the magazine hasn't officially been released yet as far as we know. Although in the March issue #224 of PC Gamer we are featured in a full page article on page 86.
Sweet! Congratulations =)
Awesome news, guys! Congrats.
Great mod, deserves respect like this
great can we get some info on 1.30 noa :3?
You deserved it. A mod that stuck it out. Sadly, BrainBread doesn't look like it'll make it worth the wait. :P
Congrats, even if I wholly disagree with the award. There are far more deserving mods both less buggy and with more polish.
So... you came here just to say that?
It's not like I said the mod sucked. It's fun, but...
If only you knew how much our team puts into this. -_-
Name those mods... name them...
Really? -7 votes just for saying that this mod isn't the best thing to come out in the past year? I completely understand people disagreeing with him, but going apeshit with the negative karma over extremely mild criticism is just childish. For this community to be of any value to modders, the comment section needs to be more than a circle-jerk of compliments. Downvote comments for being rude or useless, not for expressing an opinion different from your own.
Carma for both
awesome news
And it deserves it!
Thanks guys, we appreciate the support! NMRiH is far from done, though. We're just finishing up work on 1.03 right now and we are already planning our next steps for 1.04 and 1.05 :)

Not big surprise.
You deserve it !
Well deserved. :)
Well deserved indeed!!!!
great job :-)
I'd like to see it get on Steamworks.
Sadly, Valve hasn't put any mod on Steamworks in a long time. Not even NeoTokyo, which Gabe Newell himself said he was greatly impressed by.
I can only say +1
Congratz! nmrih really has a long history whitin the HL2 modding community. Nice to see that it gets some well-deserved recognition!
