HAPPY 4th OF JULY Hello friends! We here at No More Room in Hell wish you all a belated fourth of July (and Canadians a belated Canada day). Hopefully you enjoyed some firework action without blowing off any extremities. If you did, we hope you filmed it. Anyway, we got an announcement and a reminder along with some new weapon renders! A new site is coming! Our current website is horribly outdated. This will change soon thanks to our man Brent. The latest update for NMRiH will be in your hands soon. It comes packed with a laundry list of bug fixes and tweaks along with new weapons and some overhauled UI mechanics as well as visual enhancements. The testing team have been picking apart yet another community map that has a good chance of being included in the update!
New Weapons Coming in 1.05!
That's right, in the 1.05 update we are adding in four new weapons. A fine handcrafted kitchen knife, the sexy Ruger MKiii, the iconic and powerful Winchester 1892 and the simplistic yet brutal Ingram M10!
Evolution Of Chinatown
We love our fans. Recently we had a small drive to reach 1000 likes on our Facebook page. As a reward we promised to release a video of 1.05. In just about 4 days we reach our goal gaining around 161 new followers in that time. So as promised, we will be posting a video within a week showing off what is in store for 1.05! In the meantime check out this evolution of Chinatown video made by Riley and Dman757.
Server Browser Temp Fix + Vote Kick/Ban features
As most of you know, Steam is having some troubles with showing servers in the browser list for mods and some retail games. Never fear, we have a handful of IPs that you can use to connect with via the console. Example: connect 213.5.181.136:27018 - The list and more info can be found >here<
We get a lot of reports on griefers. Unfortunately we cannot stop all of them, but you can! NMRiH has a vote kick/ban feature built into the game. Observe the quote below on how it works.
JackBurton wrote: In order to initiate a votekick or a voteban, you will need to know the ID of the player you want to kick or ban. In order to find this out, say !vklist in the chat window. You should see output like the following:
User IDs for votekick are as follows:
- SuperCoolDude
- AnnoyingDude
- SomeOtherGuy
- |NMRiH| LOLOLLLOLOL
The number to the left is the ID of the player. To then initiate a vote, say !vk # or !vb #, where # is the ID of the player. This will bring up a vote:
Votekick/Voteban started for player: PLAYER
You have ## seconds to vote.
Say !yes to vote for this kick.
If you would like to vote for this kick or ban, simply say !yes in chat. Once a certain number of players vote yes (51% for kick or 66.7% for ban by default), the player will be kicked or banned from the server. If the vote does not pass after a certain amount of time, the vote will fail.
New Linux Binaries
In an attempt to help resolve many of the remaining issues that our Linux server owners are encountering, we've created and uploaded a new Linux .so file. If you're a server owner and your Linux server has been crashing lately, download and drop this file into your nmrih/bin directory.
You can download it >here<
Let us know if you have any problems with it!
Looks great guys, one of my top hl2 mods of all time :)
Awwww YEAAH!
(buried)
.....another 22.?
why not, now we have a second weapon that shares the ammo, dont hate the .22
(buried)
lolnot hating on it butits kinda laughable like the ruger IRL it would take forever to kill a dude in the head XD
What!?!? a 22 to the head will kill a human easy, hell a 22 to the torso could kill you if you don't get medical attention.
(buried)
.........
You obviously have no knowledge of guns, a head shot would be insta kill cause it would bounce off the back of your skull and make your brains mush! and same if you get hit in the torso it would bounce around and cause alot of damage. and yes rounds make a difference.
It also depends a little on the ammo, like if it were hollow points (I've used them) it would make hell of a lot difference
Actually leathery a bullet wound anywhere will kill you if you never treat it, infection will spread and yeah, you'll become ill and die.
It does make sense for there to be another .22, since it's a lower calibur, and more likely to be found in say a civilian house or neighborhood than something like a M4.

i guess
god bless america
no matter how many down votes i get, you can't take my love for america away
god bless you all, and god bless the usa
I hate you so much Riley you're fired
Riley I love you. You're hired again.
you are canadian, dont get afraid of the dark ...
Know What would be great? Using the No More Room In Hell Survival Mode But put it in a greater Scale Like. For Example You Need *Food and Water*, There are more houses to explore in and hold up in, Players Spawn in different areas around the city (City= 12 Kilometers squared, with a few minor housing suburbs around it).
Also Instead of Having Waves its set on a time scale, More Zombies come out at Night and Can Sense you easily and During the Day there are fewer Zombies and Can sense you only when you are closer. And when Days Pass The Zombies Grow stronger, Kids Become more Faster (Including the Runners), Zombies Infect you know matter what, and The Decline of weapons spawned around the playing field.
Interesting Idea?
We are actually developing a game mode for post 1.05 called "Classic Mode", it's basically an expanded and evolved version of the game mode we had in 2009 when we were still in internal alpha. It is basically a free-form non-linear no-zone no-wave survival with randomized mini-objectives on large maps.
This completely made my day. Completely.
Dude, if only Source would be capable of that scale of things (12 kilometers squared, multiple neighborhoods).. It's a really nice idea, I'd totally want that, but not going to happen on Source. :/
But, we have some new stuff in the works for Survival (like Maxx mentioned just before me). It's going to be after 1.05 though, so it takes some time. :)
Yeah 12km squared is asking a lot on Source, but does it realistically have to be that big? Even 1km squared will seem like a large map if you can get into practically every room in every building in an urban area.
I know that's a lot of work for the mappers but the result would be worth it.
Source would have trouble with even that, dude. That's what we're up against.
I wonder if you know or at least heard about DayZ...
We have. DayZ isn't the first game to do that type of game mode
first to do it right.
Yeah I heard of DayZ, but yeah its :/ ok i guess
DayZ is too complicated for me, it isn't even too fun, despite all of the praise it gets.
SURE
TORMENT ME WITH SOME DEUS EX MUSIC
... man it's been such a long time since I played that game...
Yaaaaaaaaaaay! mac 10 is a wonderful choice, the reason being that thugs use that and it will be more common in the city!
Dat Winchester, **** is going Shaun of The Dead!
This update has got me moist. Bring it on!
