New Launcher, Main Menu and In Game Menu are Live!
A brand new launcher for the mod is out now that will always keep the mod up to date directly from our GitHub, along with a brand new main menu and in game menu! These are some of our most requested features from players and they are now ready for use. Steam Deck support is incoming for these features so please wait for that to release soon but a new Steam Deck version of the mod is also out now that includes all the latest updates since the last update for Steam Deck here on ModDB.
The New Launcher
This updated launcher now has some extra options, such as being able to put in your custom launch options directly here. The launcher will also show when any updates are available, which come directly from our GitHub. A reminder that our GitHub is open source and updates are happening daily!
The Updated Main Menu
We have also totally removed the old menu (a remnant of the -novr bits leftover by Valve) with a new one that allows for all the same functionality as the old Main Menu but with no flickering, dot pointer and other issues that caused friction for our players when playing for the first time.

Everything that the VR version of Half-Life Alyx has in its Main Menu and In Game Pause Menu are all now available to NoVR players.
A Closer Look at the Main Menu Settings
Another amazing change is the addition of a proper in game pause menu! We apologize that we have gone these months without any form of in game menu, but that is now over. This has all been done with no Source 2 SDK so we do not have that luxury that Source 1 mods have had for a decade now. All the functionality from the Main Menu is available here in the In Game Menu. Allowing for proper manual saving, adjusting settings while playing to better test and much more.

We will be making it pretty over time but for now functionality was the main focus of development and making it as easy to use as possible for our players.

Please give the Launcher, Main Menu and In Game Menu a try and give us feedback! As we noted already we will work on making it prettier, but other features, issues to report and more are necessary to help us improve it!

Please check the downlod pages and review the new instructions for download as the Launcher takes care of it all now! Meanwhile on Steam Deck installation is still done manually, and you can still and will always be able to install the mod manually if you choose to by just visiting our GitHub page and downloading the raw files.

Does it include savegame images and detailed savegame info (player stats)?

With the 2nd Dec release 2.1.2, I still don't see this "New In Game Menu" that's mentioned here? It just shows the regular "Paused" image.

But Top 50 isn't a thing on ModDB. It's either Top 100 (which NoVR entered) or Top 10 (which is covered in the other two options). No one knows the amount of votes either (it isn't disclosed), so there's no knowing in which half of Top-100 you landed.
So... is there going to be an animation update now that NoVR is in Top 100? Or nothing?
I just finished the game, a great feeling finally being able to play this one, and enjoyed it a lot. Some minor issues, and had to noclip out of being stuck a couple of times.
