It's been a while since we have updated our ModDB page, but this is going to change from now on. We will update this page whenever we have something important or interesting to announce. In MTA news, our first stable release has been announced on 22 August, 2009, and released the next day. This release has pretty much tripled our average playerbase, so we consider it as fairly successful.
It also allowed us to unite our previous mod's fanbases (namely MTASA Racemod and MTA:San Andreas Deathmatch) into a single one, so it's now much easier for us as we can just focus on supporting a single mod which has all of the features of above mods and more exclusive.
If you are having problems with the mod, or you have a suggestion, you can visit our forums and ask for help, or, if you have discovered a bug, you can report it on our bug tracker - for this you need to create an account at community.mtasa.com first though.
Also, if you are a C++ coder and would like to contribute to our project, it's easy to do so, as our mod is open-sourced - svn repository is available here. Once you've done some changes which we might find useful (and which are compliant with our coding guidelines), you can make a patch and submit it to previously mentioned bug tracker in Source Patches project.
It's similar if you are a Lua scripter and would like to create some great maps or gamemodes. You can use our wiki for reference for available functions, events and other useful information.
We are always looking for skilled programmers willing to help us out.
That's it for now, mod's development will continue and the next version which we plan to release is 1.0.1, and will mostly contain bugfixes to most important issues in current release, or the ones which were known but postponed till that release. Stay tuned.
awesome!
Neato!
I rarely say this but - You Guys got skills! You and the GTA: United should get together and make an Fully MP GTA game. Just an thought.
Yeah man,he is right. I dont exactly get why are you all making separate mods, when you can join with others and make the best mod. I know it isnt so easy like i say it but it can happen.
lol, there already is a multipler mod for GTA United. GTA United Multiplayer :p
Did I talk about GTA United? :P
well i didn't actually mean to reply to your comment :P, i meant to reply to the guy you replied too
Great news team, I'll have to check it out.
Why is there another multiplayer mod for GTA: SA? theres already one thats been around for years.
SAMP was trash, it was constantly full of hackers.
Multi Theft Auto was the first GTA multiplayer mod, that's been in continuous development for 6 and a half years.
Cool! What I just needed!
You guys rock ! But I dont like the fact that everytime you spawn in the mod, you change the playerskin. This really sucks. Please change this somehow, I want a permanent skin !
