Post news Report RSS More New Voices and the Return of the Poster Quest

Clan Quest Mod 2.1 will bring yet more voices to the game, as well as reintroduce the posters found in Gary's scavenger hunt.

Along with the advent of a new year, some cool, fun, new things that you can expect to see in Clan Quest Mod 2.1, to report on.

First of all, the reintroduction of Gary's posters – with a twist. Those of you that have played Clan Quest Mod in the past might be aware of the lack of the 'poster' quest line that appears in the game, i.e. towards the end of the game, Gary, the Nosferatu primogen, asks you to retrieve items of value for him, like a scavenger hunt, and he rewards you with posters of some of the game's more notable females, as a decoration for your haven. Of course, all of this fun had to get stripped out of previous editions of CQM; due to Vampire's technical limits, the items that you retrieve for Gary had to be replaced with other items used in the Clan Quests. Not quite anymore. Rather now, the quest has still been removed, but the posters will continue to show up in your apartment periodically throughout, so you can at the very least still decorate. This is of course another feature which can be toggled on and off via the mod's installer, so those of you that find this part of the game unsuitable can leave it right out.

In other news, I'm happy to announce the addition of another talented voice actor that is helping to bring some of the original characters back to life, as well as a new one. Dwayne Thomas will be providing his voice to Skelter and Dennis (the chemist), as well as one new character, Darnell. You can check out some of his other work as an actor, here: Vimeo.com

Finally, the testing effort continues. The numbers of bugs in the game (or lack thereof) lends directly into the mod's quality, and so the effort to remove as many problems as possible before release is a time-consuming effort, indeed. With a little luck, no one will need to be patient for too much longer.
