As promised we present you today new screenshots of our Gore-System. We have optimized the textures and also some parts of the model, to give it all a more realistic view. Our next target is to work on the blood decals. If we have finished that we will start to implent the system on all Zombies.
As you see the flesh is now looking much better than the last time and we have also added some bones, which sticking out of the flesh. At the moment this is all "work in porgress", so dont wonder, why its able to cut of the body parts with a usual handgun. In the final game you will need much heavier stuff to get this done like the shotgun or the axe, but in the moment we use the handgun for demonstration.

At the moment we are testing with several options for killing zombies. In the current version it is possible to kill a zombie with one head shot. During the next weeks we will make some tests to finde the best solution because our game shall not be too easy.
Looking good! As Pat|Barnum suggested, definately put in some spurting blood from the wounds, especially when the head is blown off.

if there was any remaining blood left in the zombie, shouldnt the blood be oozing out of the severed limbs? Great stuff and good work but I think the GORE-SYSTEM needs to be a little more gory
I think in the post they said they are going to work on the blood system next. Also for Mr.Kadish in the post they also say in the final version that you will not be able to blow of a limb with a small weapon, only with shotguns, and axes. Looking good!

Can you pack a little something up with this in it? Like a test map or something with a spawning zombie that we can blow to pieces.
I understand you need decals, I hope they will be unique. A good idea would be to ask "The Author" of Smod for help on how to make the blood shoot out.
