First up we have a fantastic Let's Play video in two parts from DrOcto!
He has a wonderful German accent and it's a genuinely funny video.
Part 1:
DrOcto makes a new friend called Paul and then kills him and loses him repeatedly....
Part 2:
DrOcto forgets about Paul completely and instead gets on with playing the mod.
Seems obsessed with gifts!
Next Up!
Bilaros sent through an almost completely cold playthrough of the mod. There's no commentary but what's really interesting is you can see his thought process as he approaches each puzzle. You can almost hear the cogs whirring away in his head and see the moment it clicks.
Fun to watch...
As a level designer it's fascinating to see how each player approaches each new situation. What are they drawn to, what misunderstandings occur. Do they understand what is important in that space etc...
Well worth a watch for level designers out there.
Cheers
Jim
I loved this mods new puzzle ideas but that jumping through the window scene sold it for me, definatly memorable mod.
:)
Watch the Bilaros video as he tries to work out what he should be doing just before the jump. You can see the moment it clicks.. v cool!!
All right
i played this one as soon as it was released, and i too remember that jump through the window as something that i will not forget that soon. although i was sure i was at the wrong place there, did see the window and thought; that will not break, i will fall down and get killed. what i also wanted to happen, because i couldn't find a way up again, so by getting killed i would go back to a earlier save point. i also see to remember that i didn't get to that place the right way, i made large jumps down and only had left about 5 points of health.
about that it is great fun to see other people play your maps, that i fully agree with as a mapper myself. because as mappers we have the player in mind when we create maps, and think what he will do in some cases. but when we then see a recording of them playing we see them do things we never even thought of. it's very helpful for us mappers indeed.

I've not watched the videos or played the mod yet. If you still want let's plays, let me know and I can do one. With or without commentery.
The web seems to be alive with them! LoL.. the more the merrier! I'd love to see your version with your own commentary please!
