I present and explain the new changes to Secluded, including Interface, Inventory and content updates.

Been a while since I showed you something new in Secluded, mostly it's been screenshots and progress updates. This time I have a few new things to show, improved interface and inventory functionality, along with the usual progress update.

Interface and Inventory

  • The new change to the interface is that instead of having only the tooltip at the bottom change, the cursor now highlights when hovering over objects and other interactables.
  • I've changed the journal a bit so that the background for the notes change depending on its type. So for example, the notes have its own graphics, so does diaries and misc etc.
  • The inventory has been improved, now the player need to click the items and activate them before using them, before this the player would automatically use the item when interacting with the right object in the world, this deemed unintuitive so I changed it.
  • You can now combine items to create new ones by simple clicking one item and then click another.
  • Items can now be right-clicked and have an item description appear.

Progress Update

  • I have added 4 new areas to the game, all with interactables and collectibles.
  • A new puzzle has been added.
  • Several items have been included into the game, some combinable

That's basically it, development is going smooth and I will soon have finished up half of Chapter 1.
