First off i suspect that most of you people are running the mod with homeworld 1.0 and a no cd crack, you need to upgrade to homeworld 2 1.1 and either find a working crack for 1.1 or use your cd !
2nd off people are not filling in their blank race box correctly or rather overlooking it all together, now you can click the blank space or the blue drop down arrow to correct this, doesnt matter which because both work just as well. So do either and select the option you get for each slot for yourself and the AI. Now your race box should say Choose From Above, so go ahead and do that pick your races with the more options button to the upper right, now click on it to choose your settings and when you get to the race slots up there choose which race you wanna play as, now pay attention the races will be assigned based on your position on the map so when it says Player 1 it means position 1, player 2 = position 2 etc. Anyways once you do all that set your teams and launch the map, you shouldnt have any issues.

If people are unable to select races in the MP menu properly, they are likely to be unable to read/understand all this explanation too, no matter how simple it is.
Why don't you make a video for this?
You've made a 5m video to show a 10s firing cannon siege already. This one shouldn't be a problem for you.

lol funny considering i alrdy made one a while back but not sure if anyone actually payed attention to it.
On the mod's main page it could be, that way it wont go away and under the topic, how to run it, and also next to an other video on how to install the game.
That way no one will bother you and ask you how to install or how to play?
i cant edit the main page, that is something only mod leaders can do and im not one.
